Such a pleasure to sit beside Jeff as he narrated this moment in history. As expected, he more than met the moment. An outstanding job!

How cool. Pat Murphy sent rehab coordinator Bryn Hester down to the bullpen to ask Brandon Woodruff if he wanted the ninth. The two spent about a million hours together over the last three years working on Woodruff’s comeback.

More for the "There's nobody like Murph" file: ⚾️He coached his son's baseball practice the night before NLCS G1. ⚾️He worried an 11-year-old was tipping pitches. ⚾️He told MLB's leading bunter that he's a bad bunter while suggesting that he bunt. mlb.com/brewers/news/pat-mur…

Cool idea here... To honor Greg Sharpe and his memory, the UNL College of Journalism and Mass Communications has announced that its student broadcast of the Nebraska-Kansas State exhibition basketball game Monday will be called "The Greg Sharpe Scholarship Game." KRNU (90.3 FM in Lincoln), has invited K-State's campus station to carry the game and team up on a broadcast with a student from each university. Harmon Johnson, from UNL, and Nate Lowen, from KSU, will provide the play-by-play. While students are discouraged from wearing school colors on broadcast, an exception will be made for this game. Sharpe, of course, was a play-by-play man for both schools. "He was beloved by both fan bases," said Bill Doleman, assistant professor of practice who oversees KRNU's sports broadcasting program. "Whether you knew him personally or only by listening to him on-air, Greg had a way of making everyone feel like you were his friend."

When @JLevering4 joined the Brewers broadcast team, Bob Uecker offered him only one piece of advice: “Make sure you’re yourself. Don’t be anybody else.” We went for a visit the other morning, and talked about The Call. mlb.com/news/jeff-levering-r…
