I mean, I’m pretty easygoing about this stuff. I don’t mind much if you get my pronouns wrong. I don’t care much if you misgender me. But I’m a songwriter. A SONGWRITER. Why on earth can’t you just call me a songwriter?
Is there a name for those guys (ask any woman - they’re everywhere) who constantly resort to antagonism for attention? You know, those charmless, vulgar, dickheads who deeply understand how unlikeable they are so they just go all out?

Been frustrated for years at not being able to find the kind of bread my grandma fed me growing up which I LOVED. Just realised… it was just regular bread BUT STALE.

Had a song in my head all day that a friend wrote about a woman lying with her head on her exes new gf’s pillow and its amazing that you can just make something out of nothing like that and make it so rich and memorable that I’m still humming it 4 years after hearing it once.

At industry event today with a lunchtime showcase.. the host, enthused about young male artist he was introducing said “he’s just so YOUTHFUL!”.. I remembered my age then sat through some okay songs & singing while industry guys around me did that squint & nod thing #ageingin
Yeah you’ve had to do some hard things in your life but have you ever dropped your kid at preschool and had to prise their tiny hands off your leg so you can leave 😭

Random guy on the street said “hey sweet potato” to my 2.5yo daughter who glared at him and said “I AM A PERSON” and I said “FKYEAH!” And she said “that is a BAD word!” And I said “I’m SORRY” but I wasn’t sorry I was ELATED.
