my real genuine concern is that this ao3 and ""protection"" for fanworks discourse is just gonna blow up on all of our faces because one bad actor actually reported another person out of spite directly to an ip's legal team mid argument and now everyone is going to hell

其实中文作者更珍惜ao3就是因为色情内容/擦边/甚至血腥暴力在大陆都没有合法平台可以发…当年被墙的时候就已经哀嚎一片了。 在本土平台就不得不发删改版/考虑敏感词，非常影响纯粹的创作体验…有时候色情本来就是文学的一部分。

ppl on bringing up the ao3 download button to make authors look stupid when in reality the overwhelming majority of writers are talking about uploading fics to the google drive without permission and i think it actually says a lot that you need to twist the narrative so much
