Make sure you don't miss Jesper Eskilson's talk 'Maintaining highly distributed services with Erlang - experiences from 20 years in fintech' at @oredev tomorrow where he'll be focusing on how @Klarna have used Erlang to operate large, high-availability banking systems with minimal downtime and extreme performance requirements. ⚡
Also, take some time to check out @lawik's talk that will take a deep dives on Nerves, an open source project for Linux devices that uses innovations such as Erlang, OTP the BEAM and Elixir. 🌐

That may be so. Or maybe it is Tyler who needs to be supervised?
An exercise to the coder to figure out which :)
My most controversial #ElixirLang take:
Not all `Task`s need to be supervised.

Elixir made me the developer I am today. I gave a talk about it, and I just posted the video now.
Trying a new macro lense and sometimes the pictures look poorly AI-generated :/

Last week we hosted Elixir Stream Week – a full week of @elixirlang broadcasts, all streamed using Elixir software.
Here are some stats that you might find interesting!
💻 The whole event was running on a single 32 cores, 64 threads machine
👁️ We had a peak of 409 viewers during @josevalim's stream
👨👩👦👦 Almost 700 people signed up for ESW updates
📈We had ~30% of CPU usage and almost 700 Mbps of total throughput at the heaviest moment
For everyone who joined – thank you, we had tons of fun watching the streams with you, debugging together & testing Elixir WebRTC's capabilities (and @mickel8v2's sanity when, for unknown reasons, José's face was turning 90 degrees during his stream).
And for those who missed it – all the ESW streams are now up on Youtube, together with chat recordings 🍿

People that are doing or curious about Elixir, specifically in the EU.
What are the consultancies you'd consider talking to for expertise and supporting an Elixir project that are based in the EU?
Not fishing for my own business, we're fine D
Do you use a clipboard manager in your computing life? Which one and why?
I never acquired the habit but I abuse the vim yank and regular copy/paste a ton so more of that would actually be great?

i just read part of chapter one of elixir in action, i think i am being psyop'd into erlang
Trying to unfurl TPM 2.0 for embedded use inside of my brain and I'm not sure it fits. This is a lot. I probably need 5% of it at most. But it is kind of important to understand those 5% correctly and be reasonably confident that the remaining 95% don't undermine the useful part.
Yes I deferred everything until after Code BEAM but why did all of it go on tuesday?
2-3 hours intense pairing (not originally planned)
Podcast recording
Hong Kong meetup presentation
And in 90 min another podcast.
I'm a dumbass. I will have no brain this evening.
If you missed Code BEAM and wanted to catch the talk I about The Nerves Community Fleet at the Hong Kong meetup, you are currently 10 minutes late!
But we haven't started, so join:

I was this old when I realized it wasn't merely industrial Ethernet but rather Industrial Ethernet™️ that I was dealing with.
I was wondering why the RevPi docs kept mentioning the cycle-time.
This device is adorable and I need to try one in the green house when it is done.
The japanese Nerves community has an uncanny ability to pop up with new system support every so often :D
