Going to continue to rework our Amazon PPC to take it down even more. Amazon has added so many placements that it is hard to maintain, let alone lower TACOS and spend. Each 1% drop in TACOS is about 10K a month. Amazon US has by far the worst margins of any of our 12 channels.

It's shocking how many people trying to run existing or new business using AI agents don't understand basic concepts about cold outreach, opt-ins, and unsubscribe. Their AI pitch engine will get banished to spam purgatory. Gee, why don't targets respond?

Besides the self-driving cars' blue lights dazzling other drivers, a Chinese research institute found the lights "make the car a target for cutting in and tailgating." Cyan lights won't fix that problem. asia-tech-news.ghost.io/chin…

AMZN down big, looks like sellers are going to be getting more fees and ad placements. lol. Even with AWS going to the moon, this POS still tanked. Amazon implemented all their BS and sellers kept telling them we will pull back on ads and now they missed projections - if...

Yet another Taiwanese company deep in the chip supply chain surging on the ongoing AI (and HPC) boom. Chroma ATE, which makes chip testing equipment, has Nvidia, AMD and Google contributing to its 2026 revenue. asia-tech-news.ghost.io/chro…

This is the Chroma growth chart for both LOBs, including power testing. If it was just chip testing it would be hockey stick territory.

"Despite amassing 570,000 X followers its first seven months" 🤔
A look at MTS, the a16z-backed tech news outlet, as it struggles to attract views for its marathon X livestreams; MTS says it is on track for a "$10M run rate" (@almostzara / The San Francisco Standard) (Visit Mediagazer dot com for the link and full context!)

I had to rewrite the lede and tell Claude to look at the "big picture" before restructuring this otherwise dry article based on a Taiwan MOEA warning about new US tariff rules. Eg the main export destinations are in Poland and Czech Republic. asia-tech-news.ghost.io/taiw…

👀 Someone has put together a "Pac Man" bakeoff that involves designing Pac Man in different consumer and pro LLMs. You can play them in a browser, and the creator included time, effort, and cost metrics for each. Sonnet 5.5 is good, Opus 5.5 incroyable! jonclegg.github.io/pacman-ba…

A journalist asked me about ISBN growth, showing ~1 million extra ISBNs last year. Of course it's AI, most of it AI slop published on Amazon KDP. Here's a real example. youtu.be/my_axVfZaVU?si=8k9R… #books

There's lots of hype about robots in China, but this story finds several issues of concern for adoption in shipbuilding, including the fact that human workers aren't always on board. asia-tech-news.ghost.io/chin…

Added this background to the article: "Across Taiwan, illegal hillside developments typically include farming, road building, dumping, and quarrying. Unapproved gravesites, fishponds, and solar facilities have also been cited." asia-tech-news.ghost.io/in-t…

Anyone who has hiked through rural Taiwan knows exactly what's on the hillsides, but the official statements don't mention that, and readers may assume it's mostly farm-related like in the photo. I had Claude survey government documentation and then wrote up the background.

I was thrown by this picture because that isn't Church Street. Turns out that part of the theater used to face Mass Ave. Billionaire owns the property and has done squat with it for nearly 15 years. mmone.org/harvard-square-the…

It's jarring to see a story like this, as heavy electric trucks are basically an asterisk in the West. In China, they are huge - not just the growth in vehicles, but the infrastructure to charge them. The claimed savings are incredible. asia-tech-news.ghost.io/elec…

The news bots I designed are surfacing many stories like this in Taiwan. Obscure companies in manufacturing are pivoting to supply big semiconductor players like ASE and TSMC. Massive orders dwarf their previous business. Risk: music stops for AI. asia-tech-news.ghost.io/taiw…
