1/5 The current turmoil we are seeing reinforces the importance of getting the basics right. Distributed ledgers need governance that is responsible, decentralized, and transparent. Governance should be by well-known, diverse parties acting as checks and balances on each other.
Thanks @IOHK_Charles for joining us at #HederaCon. Enjoyed speaking with you about @DeRecAlliance and how we’re stronger together.
Welcome to the @DeRecAlliance!
It's so great to see the #web3 industry working together to give users the decentralized recovery safety net that they need - accelerating the global adoption of #DLT.
We are excited to announce that @Ripple and @XRPLLabs have joined @swirldslabs and @AlgoFoundation as Founding Members of the Decentralized Recovery Alliance, with two-year seats on the Technical Oversight Committee providing input on governance and core Alliance policies. #DeRec
As well as this, @acoerco, @BANKSOCIALio, @BladeLabs_ (@BladeWallet), @thebldgblocks, @Casper_Network, @Conste11ation, @The_Hashgraph Association, @HBAR_foundation, and @ReviveBackup have joined as Alliance members - bolstering our effort to simplify the recovery and adoption of #crypto and other assets.
These additions to the Alliance represent a significant step forward in driving our collaborative, multi-chain effort to develop an #OpenSource, industry-standard methodology for secure, interoperable, and decentralized #DigitalAsset recovery - accelerating the global adoption of #web3.

We are embarking on a new phase in the @Hedera journey. Following many years of working together, Chief Marketing Officer @chasker and SVP of Communications @zenobiaZAG will be moving on from @SwirldsLabs next month.
Their tireless work - both as leaders and members of our incredible community - has been integral in advancing the network as they navigated a complicated ecosystem of players to tell the stories that needed to be told.
I am so proud of what we have been able to achieve together all of these years we have been collaborating on and championing the network. We wish you the best of luck in anything and everything that lies on the road ahead.

When we designed the @Hedera network, we wanted to do things differently for #web3. The issue of receiving unwanted tokens is an unfortunate, yet expected, result of the lack of inflow controls for wallets and accounts on most public blockchains.
For #tokenization to reach its true potential, users must have the ability to control the limits of how they want to interact with their respective network.
That’s why we implemented Token Associations and Receiver Signature capabilities on #Hedera - providing secure and flexible safeguards against unwanted spam and crypto dusting attacks for both enterprises and individuals alike.
Time flies when you're Ħaving fun.
Ħope everyone had a ħappy weekend. As a family we celebrated our daughters, who are 18 this week. They were 11 when I started with @ManceHarmon & @leemonbaird in 2017! Where does the time go?
Happy Friday #HBARbarians
I was informed by @RantCPU that I had to make this for you.
@ManceHarmon & @leemonbaird Rant. 🤬
Don’t Blame Me. I’m just a pawn of this A.I. maniac & trying to regain @LiithosEnt control back.
He said to give out 100 F-NFTs next week.

Well, @MWalkerWilliams is certainly making the most of #WEF24 ! Sneak peek of the chat between @leemonbaird and @bgarlinghouse today, talking about how we can better work together as an industry. 👀#WEF2024 #Davos2024
I really enjoyed last night’s #tokenization panel and getting to meet so many interesting people #wef24 @hedera
That was a lot of intellectual horsepower at one table. @leemonbaird , @NobelPrize winner Brian Schmidt, and @UCBerkeley Professor Saikat Chaudhuri. What exactly do you think they talked about at tonight’s @hedera dinner? #WEF24 #WEF2024
Leemon and @NobelPrize winner Brian Schmidt (Google him) chatting at dinner. My head is going to explode! 🤯

In this morning’s panel discussion ‘Layer 1 Superpowers: Consensus & Execution At Scale,’ we learned that entities from across the Hedera and Algorand ecosystems, including the HBAR Foundation, the Algorand Foundation, the Hashgraph Association, Swirlds Labs, the DLT Science Foundation, and industry partners The Building Blocks and BankSocial, are partnering to develop a new interoperability recovery standard which will dramatically simplify the recovery and adoption of crypto and other assets.
@leemonbaird, Co-Founder of @hedera and Co-CEO of @swirldslabs, and @JohnAlanWoods, CTO of the @AlgoFoundation, discuss the news with @DJohnstonEC.
