I'm boycotting Twitter, and you should too. I highly encourage advertisers to pull ads. The Head Twit's behavior is reprehensible, and he doesn't deserve a dime.

Just to provide balance to the Head Twit, I suggest that folks vote for Democratic candidates to support a functioning democracy, sane and scientific thinking, and a woman's right to choose.
1923: Hitler’s coup failed. No real consequences, no changes. 10 years later, he and his co-conspirators took over Germany. 2021: Trump’s coup failed. No real consequences, no changes. 20 months later, he is holding hate rallies and his co-conspirators are still in Congress.

Word.
Donald Trump scammed 9,000 students out of $42 million in the illegal unlicensed “Trump University” — tricking them into putting the “tuition” on their credit cards. But sure, let’s hear from the Trumps and their cronies about universities and student debt.
Hope Center survey: 39 percent of students at two-year colleges and 29 percent of students at four-year colleges experience food insecurity. Just to put that $10k loan relief in perspective.

Serious question: how does American democracy survive when in times of controversy or crisis you have 100s, if not 1000s, of public figures willing to publicly and repeatedly lie about basic demonstrable facts; and carry on lying even after they’re confronted with those facts? 🤷🏽‍♂️

If the FBI can raid the home of a twice-impeached former President with ties to the Kremlin who took boxes of classified data from the White House & led an insurrection to disrupt the certification of his duly elected successor, just imagine what kind of precedent that might set

Astronomers caught a 2020 supernova in the act way earlier than ever and the data will be powerfully revelatory. “This is a different situation, because we really know what’s going on and we actually see the death in real time.” gizmodo.com/observations-of-…

The filibuster is not in the Constitution — but the right to vote is. Our democracy will pay the price if we keep sacrificing voting rights at the altar of the filibuster.

Think of the difference we would see in the USA...
In the 20 years since 9/11, the United States spent $8,000,000,000,000+ on war. Can you imagine if we had instead invested those funds in climate, health care, and education?
From today's Economist: word of the week: Zukunftsfähigkeit (noun): a German word meaning the ability to face the future.
