Michelangelo’s Risen Christ (Giustiniani Christ) is a genuine work by him that almost no one talks about. In June 1514, the Roman nobleman Metello Vari commissioned a life-size nude statue of the resurrected Christ holding a cross for Santa Maria sopra Minerva in Rome. Michelangelo began the first version around 1515, working from the feet upward as he usually did and by the time he reached the face, a dark vein running through the Carrara marble had appeared across Christ’s left cheek and down the neck. Considering it a failure of the stone's purity, Michelangelo abandoned it. He later gave the unfinished sculpture to Vari, who received it in January 1521 (some say 1522) and placed it in the courtyard garden of his house near the Minerva. Vari treated it as a treasure. After his death it passed through the market and entered the Giustiniani collection in the early 17th century. Another sculptor finished it (possibly Pompeo Ferrucci or the young Gian Lorenzo Bernini) and in 1644 the statue was moved to the church of San Vincenzo Martire in Bassano Romano, where it still stands. For centuries it was thought to be a later imitation. Only in the late 1990s and early 2000s did scholars, working from Giustiniani inventories and a 1521 letter from Vari that mentions the black vein, identify it as Michelangelo’s first attempt. To honor the original contract, Michelangelo started a second version in Florence in 1519. He sent the nearly finished marble to Rome, where assistants completed it (first Pietro Urbano, who damaged the work, then Federico Frizzi). That second, unflawed statue was installed in Santa Maria sopra Minerva in 1521 and remains there today. The fascinating part is how close it came to disappearing for good. One black line in the marble, a garden courtyard, a country church an hour from Rome and a Michelangelo most people still walk past without knowing it exists.

🚨 BREAKING: The blood of Saint Januarius liquefied again today in Naples, Italy, at 10:04 a.m. on his feast day. Today in Naples, on September 19, 2026, the feast of Saint Januarius, the blood of the beloved martyr and patron saint of Naples liquefied once again inside the Cathedral of Naples. The announcement was made at 10:04 a.m. local time by Msgr. Vincenzo De Gregorio, Abbot of the Chapel of the Treasure, as the faithful gathered for the annual feast-day celebration. The news was met with applause inside the cathedral. The liquefaction of Saint Januarius’ blood is traditionally observed three times each year, including on September 19, his feast day, and has been part of Catholic devotion in Naples for centuries. Saint Januarius, also known as San Gennaro, was a bishop and martyr who gave his life for Christ during the Roman persecutions around A.D. 305 - under emperor diocletian. His blood has been preserved in sealed glass ampoules in Naples, and the centuries-old phenomenon continues to draw thousands of faithful who see it as a powerful sign connected to the intercession and protection of their beloved patron saint. ✝️🇻🇦 #catholicmiracles #saintjanuarius #thebloodofstjanuarius #catholicfaith #miraculous

I’ve known and supported President Trump for many years, and I offer these thoughts in the spirit of friendship and concern. Sometimes the strongest thing a leader can do is say less, listen more, and let his actions speak for themselves. I’m praying for our President, as I hope all Americans will, and I’m asking him to remember the example of Ronald Reagan: humor, courtesy, respect, and a presidential manner even in difficult times. Mr. President, I say this as a friend. For just a little while, try being quiet. You may be surprised how loudly that silence speaks. -Pat

AN 1,800-YEAR-OLD DECLARATION THAT JESUS IS LORD In 2018, a small silver amulet dating to around AD 230 was discovered in the grave of a Christian man in the Roman town of Nida, northwest of modern Frankfurt, Germany 🇩🇪 Inside the amulet was a thin sheet of silver containing an 18-line Latin inscription. Because the silver had been rolled up for nearly 1,800 years and was too fragile to open, researchers used high-resolution CT scans to virtually unroll it and reveal the words. The discovery is now considered the earliest definitive evidence of Christianity north of the Alps. Unlike many ancient amulets that mixed different religions with superstition or magic, this inscription is completely centered on Jesus Christ. It even contains an early Latin quotation from Philippians 2:10–11. The translated inscription reads: “[...] of Saint Titus. Holy, holy, holy! In the name of Jesus Christ, Son of God! The Lord of the world resists with all His strength every attack. God grants entry to well-being. May this means of salvation protect the man who surrenders himself to the will of the Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, since before Jesus Christ every knee bows: those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth, and every tongue confesses Jesus Christ.” Long before Christianity received legal recognition in the Roman Empire, a believer living far north of Rome was already confessing Jesus Christ as the Son of God and Lord of the world. This remarkable discovery shows just how early the gospel had spread and how firmly the first Christians held to the truth about Christ. #drthehistories

The Passover lamb was never meant to be merely slain. It was meant to be eaten. God commanded Israel to sacrifice the lamb and eat its flesh (Exodus 12:8). Then Jesus came as the true Passover Lamb. He was slain for us on the Cross. But He also commanded us to eat His flesh and drink His blood: “Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.” (John 6:53) Jesus didn’t merely fulfill Passover by becoming the sacrificial Lamb. He fulfilled it in the Passover meal by giving us the Lamb, Himself, as food. The Lamb was slain. The Lamb was eaten. The Lamb is Christ. And the Eucharist is the fulfillment of the Passover.

Trump fired the Chair of the Kennedy Center and installed HIMSELF. He fired half the board and replaced them with MAGA toadies. He slapped his name on another man's MEMORIAL, and now he's planning to demolish it out of spite. I can't believe people voted for this asshole.

Trump doesn’t seem to comprehend that the Kennedy Center is a memorial. The only name that belongs on it is John F. Kennedy.

The Kennedy Memorial is made of irreplaceable marble that was gifted by Italy. Matisse tapestries found throughout were gifted from France. The massive starburst chandelier in the Opera Hall, and lights along walkways, were a gift from Sweden. The record-breaking stage curtains were a gift from Japan. They had to build special looms to weave them because of how big they are. The grounds are beautiful with displays of art. This is what Trump is destroying.

This is why it is actually so infuriating dealing with doctors. I went to med school. I had near perfect grades. WE LEARNED NOTHING ABOUT VACCINES. Yet every single colleague I have will defend vaccines to the death, without EVER having looked into them or being taught about them. They'll just go on blindly regurgitating lies. History will not be kind to the vaccine cult. I promise. And that's the beautiful thing about the truth. It's unchanging.
Anyone who is pro-vaccine has never looked into vaccines.

🚨 IT'S OFFICIAL: Lindsay Clancy holdout juror Michael Desronvil is FIRING BACK at the insufferable female jurors, saying he had NO reasonable doubt and fully believed Clancy knew she was m*rdering her kids The jurors kept interrupting him mid-sentence Now, Michael — a patriot — has secured a lawyer, who describes him as a "devoted father and man of God" 🙏🏻 "I didn't have any doubts. As I tried to explain different possible theories during deliberation, I kept getting cut off as if I had doubts based on the evidence." "It was enough proof that she knew EXACTLY what she was doing and planned." It's absolutely disgusting that the Left and Fake News are trying to character assassinate this man. I think the ONLY reason he went public is because he had no choice but to defend himself As soon as we saw the female jurors, it confirmed ALL of our suspicions. They're rude, condescending, probably liberal, and white liberals couldn't stand a black man refusing to conform to how he "should" think GOD BLESS HIM.

Now imagine running the 911 calls. It’s been hell. Gaslighting. Online harassment. A nightmare. Some of us are still unvaccinated and still speaking out. We screamed about what we were seeing, refused the shot, lost our jobs, trying to keep people from this outcome. Then the system that told tried to use our jobs to force us to take this harmful substance hired us back again like it never happened. Talk about a mind screw. In all reality, everyone got harmed. Some just paid the ultimate price and can’t speak anymore. God bless
