tbh i honestly see fic drives as more synonymous with sharing a link than anything else(except in a world where all engagement would take 2-4 weeks to show up i suppose) but im willing to change my mind with a compelling enough argument

any and all ao3 discourse can be boiled down to people thinking writers are some unique type of person that are equipped to write fanfic and everyone else can not. that is why you think that these people writing for free should be accepting your shitty crit on them:

you believe they have the “fanfic writer gene” and therefore should be better. i actually think every reader would have a much more productive ao3 experience if they were also writers i urge you to write your shitty fanfic. that is the point. make it self indugent and terrible

just fucking have fun with it! make it yours!

fun fact the communist manifesto is on ao3. it is an archive idk where people are getting that it’s not

i don't care if you pass around pdfs of my fics or put them in gdrives but please do not reupload on fanfic. net or wattpad or any other alternative reading sites thank you :)

thinking about willel and guilt and owing something to someone again in season one and season two. will has saved el’s life and el has saved will’s and will has “killed” el and el has “killed” will. the best week of el’s life until that point was the worst week of will’s.

they get mistaken for each other. they don’t have an actual one on one conversation onscreen until after they become siblings. will haunts el all through season 1 and el haunts will all through season two. they are so important to me…

We estimate that service restoration for #AO3 will take around 2 weeks but it could be up to 4 weeks. We are hopeful that we will be able to bring the site back up in a degraded state sooner. Refer to our status page for updates: otwstatus.org/
