Tomorrow at 15:00 CEST we’re opening a real #Jira instance and editing work items in bulk, with @Appfire and #JXL co-founder Hannes Obweger.
Come with a question. The last part of the session is yours, and that’s the bit the recording can’t give you.
Registrations still open → luma.com/6isj88ba
3 days to go, and it’s still free to join our webinar → luma.com/6isj88ba
Here’s a small preview of what Thursday looks like. This is conditional formatting in #JXL, allowing you to update your #Jira work items by whatever rule you care about. You stop scanning the board hunting for problems, because the problems start announcing themselves.
It’s one of the things Patricio Demitrio, from @Appfire and Hannes Obweger will be setting up live on Thursday, alongside bulk edits, custom hierarchies and roll-ups across an epic.
One week to go → next Thursday, someone is going to change many #Jira work items live in front of you, without opening a spreadsheet once.
That’s the whole point of the session. Patricio Demitrio from @Appfire and Hannes Obweger, who co-founded #JXL, will be showing real Jira instances, covering bulk edits, custom hierarchies and roll-ups that update as you go, all within the permissions you already have.

Day 2 and 3 at @Atlassian #Team26Europe were all about working the booth, the parties, and making the most of every moment.
A packed Booth 220, a dancing Mandalorian, @alexluchian88 meeting @mcannonbrookes at the Champions party, @CristinaSiscanu , Mario Amaya, and Sultan getting hands-on with @seibertgroup 's Flowcella, the @Heineken_Exp with @rewind , @ReliexSolutions and @RefinedSoftware , and a bowling session to close it out.
And we just wrapped the raffle: the lightsaber officially has a new owner!
Thank you to everyone who swung by and made it unforgettable.
This is the way at #LifeInCodes
Day 2 is just getting going, and this is honestly the first quiet moment we've had to sit down and write. That alone tells you how Day 1 went.
And what a day it was: good talks, real conversations, and plenty of new faces at Booth 220.
There were also sword fights: @alexluchian88 took up a lightsaber against fellow partners and clients, one of whom might just walk away with it from our raffle, happening tomorrow at 1:30PM.
Then we closed the day the way it should be done: a boat gathering with the @Appfire team and our clients, harbour views included.
Now the sun is pouring into the expo, a new day is calling, and so are we.
Swing by Booth 220.
This is the way.

Day 1 at @Atlassian Team '26 Europe, and we're just getting started.
Yesterday set the tone: #PartnerAccelerate and the #Atlassian Champions event, two rooms full of the people shaping where this ecosystem is headed, then closing the evening in style at the Rewind get-together at the Johan Cruijff ArenA . Coolest crowd, coolest venue, no contest.
Today we kicked off the best way possible: a good coffee and meeting fellow Atlassians around the neighbourhood. Caffeinated, inspired, and ready to tackle the main event.
Swing by Booth 220 and see what it means to live #LifeInCodes.
A critical task lands. The clock is running. And three questions start flying around the team:
1) Who has done this before?
2) Who can we trust with it?
3) Who is actually free right now?
Messages pile up, meetings multiply, and the decision slows to a crawl. The maddening part is that the expertise exists somewhere in your organization. You just cannot see it.
At #WorkEvolutionSummit, Yelyzaveta Burda from #ElevaticSoftware shared the idea her team is building to fix that: real-time expertise mapping. Instead of chasing down who might know something, you get a living view of your organization, built from the skills people declare, the work they prove every day, the systems they already work in, and their verified credentials.
Two moments made it click. A developer stalls on a #Jira task, and the system proactively suggests two colleagues who have solved exactly that problem before. A lead staffing a new project asks a plain question, who can help with payment callbacks, and gets ranked experts with a fit score and real availability.
Because, as she put it, the right expertise at the wrong time is still the wrong answer.
We wrote up the full session, honest caveats and all, on the Life in Codes - Atlassian Solution Partner blog: lifeincodes.com/product-news…
Next time a task stalls on your team, how many hours will you lose finding the person who could have unblocked it in ten minutes?
Less than one week left until Atlassian Team ’26 Europe.
We’ve prepared for battle. Two lightsabers, one of them looking for a new owner.
@alexluchian88 , our CEO is keeping one. The other? That’s the raffle prize, waiting at Booth 220 for the challenger brave enough to claim it.
Because facing down a #cloudmigration, a #Jira setup gone to the dark side, or a backlog the size of the Death Star is a lot easier with a saber in hand.
Swing by, enter the raffle, and may the Force (and clean data) be with you.

#Team26Europe #Atlassian #LifeInCodes
We've done enough of these events to learn a thing or two. So before @Atlassian Team '26 Europe kicks off in Amsterdam, here are our picks for making the most of the week:
✅ Download the app and build your agenda before you land. The good sessions fill up fast.
✅ Take an early lap of the Expo, then go deep on the booths worth your time.
✅ Book your 1:1s early. The best slots go before day one.
✅ Don't miss these keynotes: "Your business knows better" (Wed) and "What becomes possible" (Thu).
✅ Save some energy for BASH on Thursday night. You earned it.
And come say hi at Booth 220. We'll be there to talk cloud migration, Jira, Confluence, and getting more out of g#Atlassian.

See you very, very soon at #Team26Europe!
You know the routine. Forty work items need a new fix version, so you click into the first one, make the change, save, go back, and wait for the board to reload before you can start on the second.
There is a reason so many teams give up somewhere around number eleven and export the whole lot to a spreadsheet instead.
On the 22nd of October, at 3PM, we are hosting a #webinar with @Appfire to talk about a third option: doing all of that inside #Jira. Patricio Demitrio and Hannes Obweger, who co-founded #JXL, will walk through bulk edits, custom hierarchies and live roll-ups on real data, with your permissions intact and nothing leaving your instance.
Most of the session is a live demo, and we have left plenty of room at the end for questions.
It is free to join, and if the timing does not work for you, register anyway and we will send you the recording → lifeincodes.com/jira-at-the-…
10 days to go. 📷
Export to Excel and hope for the best? We've all been there and we plan on fixing that. On September 29, the #Atlassian community meets in Bucharest for one evening about getting from chaos to clarity, and we'd love to see you there.
Here's what's on:
> A hands-on JXL challenge with @Appfire 's Patricio Demitrio. Can you solve problems in Jira efficiently, or do you just export to Excel and hope? Bring your laptop and find out.
>> A talk on seamless workflows with Nicoleta Stefan of @GoDaddy , on what happens when Loom, Rovo, Confluence and Jira finally start talking to each other.
>>> And to close the evening, drinks and networking with the people who live in Jira and Confluence every day.
Free, in English, limited seats. Bring a laptop for the hands-on bit.

Drag a file into #Confluence. Then drag in another with the same name. Confluence does not ask if you are sure. It just replaces the first one.
That is how the version wars start:
> A finalized contract quietly overwritten with an older draft.
>> A signed agreement replaced by a work-in-progress.
>>>There is a version history underneath, but you have to know to go looking for it, and most people never do.
>>>>They see the latest file, assume it is the only one, and move on.
Now picture that file is a salary spreadsheet, a board deck, or a budget going through revision rounds. One careless re-upload, and your source of truth is gone.
We built #AttachmentLocker for Confluence to end it.
1) Lock the files that matter so no one can overwrite them.
2) Control who can lock and unlock.
3) Add timers and unlock notifications so nothing stays locked and forgotten.
40 And keep it simple and visual, so protection is obvious at a glance.
Our team demoed it live at the #WorkEvolutionSummit, and the response made one thing clear. Almost every team has lived through a version war, and almost none had a way to stop it. Read more about it, here: lifeincodes.com/product-news…

If someone overwrote your final contract with an old draft this afternoon, would anyone even notice?
Who is responsible for user management in your organization? If the honest answer is nobody, you are not alone. And it stays invisible right up until it costs you.
At #WorkEvolutionSummit, Björn Döhler, from @resolutiongmbh , told three stories from this year where user management stopped being a quiet admin chore and became a problem the whole business felt.
A company that paid 30,000 for its Atlassian stack 15 years ago now pays around 300,000, much of it on users who have not logged in for six months.
An organization that migrated to cloud believing it had 26,000 Confluence users discovered it actually had 128,000 once the guests were counted, hidden behind 110,000 groups. As Björn put it, you move with all the trash in the new flat.
And the audit everyone dreads, where a few people gather round a spreadsheet trying to work out who has access to what, and end up zero percent confident the answer is right.
The fix is the same in every case. Treat user management as a system you run continuously, with real visibility, saved filters you can export on demand, and automation that deactivates dormant accounts before they become a bill or a risk.
We wrote up his full session on the #LifeinCodes blog: lifeincodes.com/product-news…
Could you say today, with confidence, who has access to what in your organisation?
We spent the last two days in Kraków for @Appfire 's EMEA Partner Enablement Workshop. The agenda was packed with hands-on sessions and valuable knowledge was shared. It was lovely to see so many of you again, and just as good to finally meet others after many calls and email threads.
This is why we still get on planes. You can run a good call, but you cannot recreate the moment when someone explains during lunch or dinner the thing you have been quietly misunderstanding. Two days of that beats a quarter of meetings.
Thank you to the #Appfire team for having us! Let's do this again soon☺️
@alexluchian88 @CristinaSiscanu
Knowing you need a backup is the easy part. Knowing your restore actually works is where most teams fall short.
At #WorkEvolutionSummit, Michał Cheba from @xoperobackup | GitProtect picked up exactly where his colleague Xhuljo Mezini left off. Xhuljo made the case for why your #Jira and #Bitbucket data is your responsibility, not Atlassian's. Michal came to show what acting on it looks like in practice.
His checklist for judging any backup tool is worth keeping:
> How well does it scale across a full Jira site.
> Does it capture the whole context of your work or just the tickets.
> Can you choose where the data lives.
> How long can you retain it, because a 30-day native limit will not satisfy an enterprise auditor.
> And who holds the encryption key.
Two details stayed with us:
1) A good backup never overwrites your data on restore, it creates a new resource, so recovery can never put production at risk.
2) A backup should never fail silently, warnings and failures should reach you long before you ever need to restore.
We wrote up the full session, along with its companion piece on the case for backup, on the Life in Codes - Atlassian Solution Partner blog: lifeincodes.com/featured/jir…
How long could your business run without Jira, and could you prove your restore works today?
Join @lifeincodes - Atlassian Solution Partner in Amsterdam, October 6–8, to talk through what a cloud migration actually takes: moving your #Jira and #Confluence without losing data, disrupting teams, or grinding work to a halt along the way.
Whether you're just weighing the move, mid-migration, or cleaning up after one that didn't go to plan, we'll show you how to turn a complex cloud migration into a clear, manageable path forward.
Come see what we're bringing to Team '26 Europe. You'll find us at booth 220.

#Team26Europe #Atlassian #CloudMigration #LifeInCodes
A room full of Atlassian professionals was asked to raise their hands. Who uses #AI at work? Every hand. Did it make you faster? Every hand. Did it make you better at thinking, deciding, and collaborating? The hands dropped.
That gap was the whole point of Alisa Popa and Oana Popescu's workshop at #WorkEvolutionSummit. Your tools got faster. Did you?
They ran the room through a scenario every team knows. Six months into a new tool, the dashboard looks perfect, but tickets go stale and deadlines still slip. Asked how they would fix it, people reached for the usual instincts. More automation. More training. Push harder. Easy answers, because we have seen the problem before and we answer on autopilot.
Then they changed the questions. What outcome do you actually want, and how would you measure it? What behaviour, if it changed, would fix this? Suddenly it got hard, and the answers got better.
Their two traps are worth pinning up. The outcome trap, jumping to actions before you define where you want to end up. And behaviour blindness, getting faster with tools while your own capabilities stay flat.
We wrote up the full session on the #LifeinCodes blog: lifeincodes.com/.../your-too…
Next time something breaks and your first instinct is another tool, try their two questions first. What outcome do you want, and what would you have to become to get there?
"#BigPicture loves your teams as they are, no judgement."
That line, from Łukasz Romaniuk of @Appfire at #WorkEvolutionSummit, captures why so many planning tools fail. They force your teams to change how they work. The good ones adjust to you.
His session was about aligning strategy and execution without forcing a framework on anyone. Run waterfall, agile, hybrid, or scaled, and BigPicture follows your transformation instead of fighting it, adding a decision layer on top of hashtag#Jira for budgets, capacity, OKRs, risk, and live reporting.
We recapped the full session on the #LifeinCodes blog: lifeincodes.com/featured/ali…
If your strategy lives in slides while your execution lives in Jira, the gap between them is exactly what he set out to close.
Five minutes before the meeting, you open the shared folder for the latest version of the file. You find six. Final. Final-v2. Final-USE-THIS.
@Klaida4 from #Elevatic gave that scramble a name at #WorkEvolutionSummit >>The daily document hunt
Then she showed how to end it.
The root cause is simple. Your work lives across three platforms that do not talk to each other. Tasks in #Jira, knowledge in #Confluence, governed documents in #SharePoint. Atlassian's #TeamworkCollection connects the first two well, but your documents stay on the other side of a wall.
Her fix keeps each tool doing what it does best. Bring SharePoint content into the Confluence sidebar and onto Jira issues so documents travel to the work, while governance stays exactly where it belongs. As she put it, you don't move your documents, you connect them to where work happens.
We wrote up her full session on the #LifeinCodes blog, including how permissions carry across untouched and what happens when only page 854 of a thousand-page document actually matters. Read it here: lifeincodes.com/featured/run…
Worth asking before your next meeting: how many versions of that one file are out there right now?
