Useful tool - enter your address and see how your address scores from a health standpoint. The tool pulls together public data on water quality, air quality, mold risk, noise, etc. All from public records!
At Lightwork, we built a free tool with all public data about your home and neighborhood's health in one place — water, air, mold risk, radon, noise, and more. In most homes, just this free info is enough to help you meaningfully improve your environment. Link in next post!

Your home affects your health every day, but finding out how healthy it is can be confusing. There's a lot of public data about every home. It's just scattered across agency websites and technical reports. So we built a free tool that pulls it into one report, with a rating for each and a clear next step. Link below.

Check it out here: howhealthyismyhome.com We pull in: - Your water utility's test results vs health guidelines - Outdoor air and traffic pollution near you - Your county's EPA radon zone - Regional humidity and when mold risk peaks - Transportation noise at your address + much more... You get a report outlining what’s going on, and the biggest levers you can pull for your health.

I'm very bullish on tech that helps reduce ambient stressors, especially one-time changes that help to live in a default healthy environment. 💡 Unfortunately the vast majority of LED bulbs are terrible for your brain (see video below) and even the "warm-looking” LEDs still contain blue-light that keeps you awake at night. 🔌 I've heard stories from students who have been enormously impacted by 'dirty electricity' running through house power lines and being zapped by unobvious background EMFs. 🦠 I've lost count of how many friends have been heavily impacted by prolonged mold exposure (especially in austin where house ventilation is poor) 💨 I was amazed by how much particulate matter was in our house (especially when cooking) so we doubled down on home purifiers. Long-term I'd prefer to live in a world where the default home environment doesn't silently tank your health... but in the meantime, the ROI on these is absurdly high. ~~ p.s. @lightworkhome who tested our house are offering a generous free consult → lightworkhome.com/nsm

This was my experience working with @lightworkhome when we tested our @eightsleep in our bedroom. No elevated levels of EMFs in the bed. cc @sweatystartup
EIGHT SLEEP is pretty popular in the wellness world, but we avoided getting one for many years out of concern for “sleeping on an emf” When I lived in LA, we actually slept on a Faraday cage because of all the Wi-Fi signals so close to our house. But I finally got an @eightsleep, and of course, as the most publicly measured woman in the world, I tested it. Here's a video on my findings (I had this professionally tested, my own in-home testing, and it matches the EIGHT SLEEP testing.) Good work @m_franceschetti

Using a HEPA air purifier improved cognitive function by 12% in middle-aged and older adults. And they only used it for a month! That's a meaningful improvement in a short amount of time, all from a simple purchase you can make for your home.

I just had my house tested by @lightworkhome and low and behold, like @lennysan... I too was being blasted by EMFs🔌 They did a 4hr+ at home assessment covering air + water quality, mold, EMFs, lighting & household products (you can see my results overview below) Even though we're renting, making a few changes to create a 'default healthy' home environment feels like such low-hanging fruit because they're mostly one-and-done fixes. Their estimate was that it'll cost <$250 total to make the main suggested improvements (full-spectrum flicker-free LED, wifi-router cover, plug timer to turn off connected devices at night, shielded extension cords etc.) I'm so bullish on what @andy_bromberg, @DomFrancks and the team are building with Lightwork. If you're interested in learning more they're generously offering a free home health consult here: lightworkhome.com/nsm
I did a whole-house toxin health assessment, where a guy spent half a day testing our house's air quality, water, EMFs, lighting, mold, and household products. So many surprises: - Our Waterdrop reverse-osmosis water filter seems to be introducing a chemical (Dichloromethane) into our drinking water that wasn't in the (whole-house filtered) tap water. Will recheck this to make sure it's not a fluke. - Even though we have air purifiers in many parts of the home, they weren't on the proper setting so our air quality was not great. Turned them all up higher. - Most of our light bulbs have blue light and super high flicker rates which disrupt circadian rhythms. Replacing a bunch of them. - The wifi router in my office is EMF'ing the sh*t out of me. Going to move it to a different part of the room. - The powerstrip under our bed is EMF'ing the sh*t out of us. Getting a grounded power strip that avoids this. - Some of our shampoos and soaps had harmful ingredients. On the plus side, no gas leaks or carbon monoxide 👌 I'm predicting this is going to become the next microplastics-type trend, to test your home for toxins and harmful products.

Thanks to @dhrupurohit for having me on his podcast! We did a DEEP dive conversation into all the ways your home can shape your health ⬇️ For the past year, I’ve been launching & growing the California office for @lightworkhome - where we optimize homes for health. In that time, we’ve worked with hundreds of clients across the world, been selected to perform home health assessments for Immortals Concierge, and work closely with scientists and clinicians from The WNDR Lab, Atria Health and Research Institute, and many more. We’re the simplest path to creating a home that is aligned with your biology. In this podcast, we cover how to: * Optimize your bedroom for deep & consistent sleep - and your home office for wakefulness. * Separate what actually matters about mold and EMFs from what's overblown. * Find the simplest and highest-leverage actions you can take to create a healthy home. Give it a listen! I’d love to hear your thoughts. I’m fascinated by all of this stuff and love jamming on it, so I’ll drop a calendar link below - if anyone out there has any questions about your home’s health, shoot me a DM and I’d be happy to chat! youtube.com/watch?v=WK7HOrzS… (also on Spotify & Apple Podcasts) Thanks to my teammates @andy_bromberg , @jwmares , @jaydevram and @johnnyfbowman

It turns out, my house has been making me dumb(er). Sorry about that. Fixing it now. After I saw Lenny's tweet a month or so ago, I did a home health assessment and here’s what I found: - High CO2 levels (~1,000 ppm) due to lack of ventilation. Studies correlate CO2 at this level with impaired cognitive function. Fix is simply opening windows. - High levels of small particulate matter (PM0.3 - PM1.0) in the home compared to outside. Air purifiers are the move here. - LEDs impacting sleep. We swapped out bedroom LEDs for incandescents. - We had WiFi Access repeaters throughout the house. RF levels were high. Still learning about EMF effects but out of precaution took out the repeaters next to where we spend a lot of time (e.g. the kitchen). - Luckily, very low levels of mold!

Testing was done with @lightworkhome. Easy and positive experience overall - turned a ton of research and small decisions into just trusting their work. I do think investing in the health of the environments we spend time in is a no brainer, like investing in better mattresses etc is. I can't afford to lose any more brainpower than I already have.

Lightwork was selected to perform home health assessments for clients of Immortals Concierge, Immortals’ premium concierge health program, ensuring member homes are evaluated alongside the rest of their health. As announced by @bryan_johnson in February, Immortals Concierge includes a dedicated concierge team, BryanAI 24/7, extensive testing, millions of biological data points, continuous tracking, evidence based skin and hair protocols, and access to the best longevity therapies on the market — as well as a Lightwork Home Health assessment. "Immortals Concierge is an exceptional program, and we're excited to provide assessments to their clients and help them create healthy, optimized home environments," said @andy_bromberg, Co-Founder of Lightwork, “home health is a critical component of overall well-being and longevity. Immortals Concierge follows a philosophy of ‘measurement, scientific research, intervention, repeat,’ and Lightwork aspires to the same approach.” Lightwork’s home health assessments are comprehensive, white-glove evaluations that can include air quality, water quality, EMF exposure, lighting, mold, noise, chemical exposures, and more, along with remediation support. Lightwork leverages its custom technology and procedures to quantify these exposures and potential remediations, which are measured against the Lightwork Exposure Index, a proprietary set of science-backed standards.
