I refrain from politics here as much as possible but as a social worker I feel the need to speak up. Nobody gets into this field for the money. Making this work even less appealing is a massive blow. We have always needed social workers and always will. This really hurts to see.

This demonstrates a disturbingly simple-minded understanding of higher education as well as a frustrating conception of what is “useful.” P.S. Two of my college classmates with the biggest incomes now majored in Theater and Philosophy, respectively.
