I find this stance funny because “ANC beneficiary” obvs doesn’t refer to the liberation movement. It refers to the ANC of governance and those who’ve done well from its tenders, deployments and access. We all inherited the first. Only some benefited from the latter. Grants, housing & voting are rights, not favours.

Don’t think calling someone an ANC beneficiary is a “gotcha” moment or an insult. EVERY SOUTH AFRICAN is a beneficiary of the ANC. We are standing in lines today to vote because of them (and others). Reflect on that.
