Jackson Bird now outright third on the all time most Sheffield Shield wickets. He has gone past the great Andy Bichel and is 4 off Michael Kasprowich on 431 wickets. 40 years of age next month the Tasmanian quick.
Boland fans rightfully think they have been stiff behind these guys for a few years. The 🦑 had to deal with it for a decade.

3 Sheffield Shield games before the first Test in Perth. What an amazing opportunity for some batsmen to finally knock the door down.

Australian sports fans are all angry now. The huge positive out of this poor series, is that it’s shown again for the 100th time, just how much we care about Test cricket still.

Whatever happens with the team back home in Australia, the very first order of business is to reinstate the Australian keeper back to 7.
Most to gain tonight on Day 5
1) Marnus
2)Daylight
3)Connolly
4) Lyon (with a win)
5) Inglis (cementing spot)
Jackson Bird turns 40 in a month.

What a game. We will learn a lot about a few tonight.
Marnus with one final chance
🗣️ “This is the type of stuff that you dream of as a Test fan.”
288 runs. 10 wickets. One final day. Everything on the line.

Beau Websters form with the bat left his spot clearly open, however for just this one Test, I still would have kept him for these overs. People forget he does have 230 FC wickets.
Seamer down.
Cooper is a part timer at this early stage of his career.
I do think it’s Cummins not Bailey when the rubber meets the road.
Flash has a theory that Pat Cummins, rather than chief selector George Bailey, is behind the decision to keep Marnus Labuschagne in the side despite his struggles with the bat!
Does @lithgowflashman have a point, or is he off the mark? 👀
