This analogy is helpful when thinking about the load that pupils carry with learning differences, without support or receiving inclusive education.
Differences can seem manageable but when they transfer to high school, those differences start to feel more of a burden. As demands increase, the differences feels heavy along with other stressors such as bullying, ACEs etc leading to EBSA and poor mental health.
So what can you do to lighten their load?

ADHD : real or trend?
The narrative that there is an over diagnosis of ADHD in UK media is inaccurate and misleading. Research shows definitive Genetic links and poor outcomes for those receiving late support. The cost to the NHS could be dramatically reduced by simple early intervention @tonylloyd50
A whole system problem requires a whole solution.
Proud of @WelshGovernment for going upstream. #NDIP

ALT HEIW closes X account HEIW champions the values of compassionate behaviours, equality, diversity and respect for all. In light of the volume of hatred, violence, discrimination and misinformation spread via the platform X / Twitter, we feel it is no longer consistent with these values and the right place for us to communicate and engage with stakeholders, partners and local communities.
