One of PATRICK STEWART's greatest roles was Jean-Luc Picard in Star Trek: The Next Generation - a Captain who stood up for what was right.
He delivered many great speeches in the role. This, from The Measure of a Man, is one of the best.

NEW: Our reporting found the recent Starlink outage in Ukraine could be part of an elaborate upsell.
When U.S. officials asked Musk's company about it, they were told the problem could be fixed by upgrading to a new contract.

Just last month, DoorDash couldn’t seem to find the money to pay their deliveristas — until our administration forced them to give back $131M+ in stolen wages and penalties.
This week, they’ve managed to find $17 billion to acquire one of their main competitors.
Corporate consolidation means higher prices, harsher exploitation, and greater economic inequality for New Yorkers.
We’ve stood up to these giants before. That doesn’t stop now.

I’m sure not many know that “AIPAC” was formerly known as the “American Zionist Council” and Robert F Kennedy was determined to get it designated as a foreign agent and refused to budge. This was 4 months before “Sirhan Sirhan” a “Palestinian assassin” shot RFK in that hotel

I like that every six months a Republican gets arrested trying to prove voter fraud is easy because voter fraud is not, in fact, easy

For those who refuse to read the articles about this case. She had a babysitter coming in the mornings to check in, make lunches, get them off to school, and prep dinner for them. All the 14 year old had to do was help them get inside after school. Microwave dinner. Get kids in bed and text mom updates. This was a work trip and they threatened to fire her if she did not go. The father has abuse charges and the police handed him their kids on top of arresting her.

The American far-right’s push for ending Affirmative Action was a stunning success — the number of white kids attending Harvard has now absolutely cratered.
Asian-Americans in Harvard’s Incoming Class More Than Double, to 43.2 Percent
Newly released data on the Harvard College class of 2030 say the class is 43.2 percent Asian-American, a record high and more than double the level when Students for Fair Admissions first sued Harvard alleging racial discrimination in admissions.
The U.S. Supreme Court ruled in 2023 that Harvard was unlawfully using race as a factor in admissions. Since then, the numbers of Hispanic and black students in the incoming Harvard classes have dipped, while the numbers of Asian-Americans have soared.
