Grant makes strong points, and I agree that math isn't going anywhere. But "never a better time to go into math" is easy to say from outside the career ladder. For a PhD student whose thesis problem just got solved by a model, or a postdoc wondering if their skills still count, this is a hard moment. Careers are being reoriented. People are having to reinvent themselves. That deserves sympathy, not just optimism. nitter.cf/3blue1brown/status/211…
Some reflections on AI in math. I found it helpful to simply list out the various parts of what a mathematician does, why math is valuable, and where the funding comes from. From there, what happens if AI gets more capable? youtu.be/LKrwhjOI8Nc

I got a bunch of questions asking if the elden ring mod was real, and like what models I used, and how I made it on Mac, so I made a quick video explaining, I may make a more in-depth video later.

The Super Mario Galaxy decomplication has reached 100% completion, a PC port called AstroCore is now in development. 100% human coded! Keeping an eye on this one!

There's also a PC Port already in development. Seemingly 100% coded by humans too!

Suppose, for example, that I wish to visualize an 11-dimensional space. I simply visualize an N-dimensional space, and then set N to 11. More generally, in order to visualize a D-dimensional space, I simply visualize an N-dimensional space, and then set N to D.

random npcs in the pokemon center when you walk up and talk to them:
This is random but the backpack is really one of the greatest inventions. Great form and function. Lasts a long time, even the cheap ones. And is available and used by every kind of person.
