What a heartbreaking week it has been. Sir Patrick Stewart was a friend, a colleague, and a magnificent actor. From the stage to the bridge of the Enterprise, he brought intelligence, grace, and a deep sense of humanity to everything he did. Captain Picard stood for the best of us, and so did the man who played him. I was filled with affection and admiration for him and his work.
My heart goes out to Sunny and his family. He will be deeply missed.

Blackstone, the world's largest alternative asset manager with nearly $1.4 trillion in assets under management, has opened its GCC in Bengaluru, leasing 4.5 lakh sq. ft. in the ORR tech corridor. The centre will support global operations across finance, technology, HR, legal and compliance.
The expansion comes as Blackstone plans to double its investments in India from $51 billion to $100 billion over the next five years.
With 1,100+ GCCs, Bengaluru leads every other Indian city by a wide margin. Nearly 1 in 3 new GCCs coming to India chooses Bengaluru, reflecting a decade of sustained investment in talent, progressive policy and a strong technology ecosystem.

It is deeply ironic that Chenchu, a 13-year-old boy believed to have been part of the mob that murdered Graham Staines and his two sons over suspicions of Christian conversions, under the influence of right-wing extremists Dara Singh and Mahendra Hembram, went on to become a Christian himself as an adult.
His story is a sobering reminder of the dangers of religious hatred and indoctrination — but also that hate is not permanent. A child taught to hate and kill in the name of religion can grow up to embrace the very faith he was taught to hate.
The poison of religious intolerance spread by the RSS-BJP has real, devastating consequences. It destroys lives, distorts young minds and robs children of their innocence. But hatred need not define who they become.

A Bengaluru woman has filed an FIR against an unknown man after alleging that he secretly filmed her at Whitefield-Kadugodi Metro station.
In a video posted on Instagram, she showed herself confronting and chasing the man before approaching Metro security personnel. She later said Kadugodi Police registered her complaint and were working to identify the man.
Thanking the police for their response, she urged women not to stay silent when faced with harassment. “Girls, don’t be afraid. Police will help you,” she said.
