I hugely appreciate the solidarity so will say this with care. I have fought anti-Semitism on here, and in the Labour Party, for years. But it cannot be right that the UK government must refrain from sanctions against settlements because it will make anti-Semites happy (which it will). Just because all the wrong people support something doesn’t actually make it wrong or impermissible. The real problem in this case is the current government of Israel.
It is absolutely possible to oppose the illegal settlements in the West Bank, as many Israelis themselves do, without feeding an anti-Israel narrative that damages and dehumanises Jewish people and communities here in the UK. It is deeply depressing to watch Labour pursue this path while its rhetoric is echoed and celebrated by openly antisemitic organisations on this platform.

“If British Jews are attacked, respect our dignity – and keep your agendas to yourself” - this prescient piece written by @KeithKahnHarris 10 years ago should be a guide on how to respond today to the terror attack on Manchester’s Jews share.google/YvUp3sNMQdYyjBC…
.@GNRailUK here we go again. Delays, no information, not stopping at all stations. On top of cancellations most mornings. Hopeless service
.@GNRailUK perhaps the courtesy of announcement on the train at Kings Cross would be the decent thing. Train full of passengers in the dark

It's almost four weeks since the horrific terrorist attack on #Israel. A lot has happened, the public debate has become heated and confused. Find thoughts from Vice-Chancellor Robert #Habeck in the video, putting the events in context. 📣With English, Hebrew and Arabic subtitles.

Thank you @bartvanloo @dcsandbrook @holland_tom - your podcast inspired my visit to Ghent to see the Van Eyck altarpiece today. Absolutely incredible
Decided to chance it on @AvantiWestCoast but no driver yet for the train due to depart 5 mins ago. Appalling service but no surprise
Finding that @Dyson has the most appalling customer service. Consistently being given the wrong information by its staff and no apologies when commitments not met. Tried to speak to a manager but was simply put on hold.

🧵JCVI minutes published...
Looks like I was right, JCVI mainly only looked at PHE's own studies, the ones they've gaslit us with for over 18 months
Also show an unhealthy number of assumptions with little evidence to back them, and very positive about benefits of infection

It's been a long wait (it always is with JCVI) but we can finally read the JCVI minutes.
So let's take a look at their arguments against vaccination. 🧵
Never mind the queues for petrol, at Pret King’s Cross they’d run out of chocolate to sprinkle on my cappuccino #countrygoingtothedogs

.@zaggora why do I have to organise and pay to return an item for a refund when you sent me the wrong size. Bad service

Melanie Phillips @JewishChron article really is dreadful. It mirrors the worst writing from antisemitism-deniers in recent years. There's nothing to be gained - and plenty to lose - by replicating some of the nonsense written about antisemitism and directing it at Islamophobia.
