Starliner should continue purely on the basis that it looks better than Crew Dragon
The uncrewed Starliner-1 mission is planned for the December 2026/January 2027 timeframe.
Together with @NASA, we're making Starliner hardware enhancements and adding resources for human spaceflight certification. These changes support the spacecraft as a long-term provider of crewed missions to low Earth orbit.

A small worry I have is that Britain still underestimates how much soft power comes from being able to independently launch things into space. I am jealous of how much pride France has in its space programme.

One hypothetical scenario I wouldn't mind is Northern Ireland joining the Republic of Ireland, and Britain's primary divisions being reshuffled into equally populated regions to form a federation, which would then rejoin the EU.
