Appropriately so
Mike Johnson: Democrats will turn every committee of Congress into an investigative body. They’ll go after Trump's family, the cabinet, his donors, and friends.

This is why I don’t listen to a SINGLE criticism from the right wing evangelicals when they criticize any other Christian for voting democrat. You vote for an egotistical, sexual deviant, manipulative, hateful, rude, liar as president, not once but twice. Then you made excuses for the “pastors” who surrounded him and enabled his behavior. As my grandfather said, “You don’t have a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out of.” 😂

21 people released from ICE detention in Newark and reunited with their families. Federal judges are challenging unlawful detentions, the fight for congressional oversight continues, and Democrats just won Congress. Accountability is coming.

Cornyn tried to appease Trump and never showed true courage
Cornyn op-ed on what went wrong: "The second forgotten lesson was even simpler: Be likeable. We are no longer in 2010, when articulate, appealing conservatives like Marco Rubio and Pat Toomey challenged “establishment” candidates over real policy differences. Today, it is fringe challengers who play down voting records and policy in favor of performative politics. A strange reverse personality test has taken root. If a candidate talks like an affable, reasonable person, he must be a sellout. If he makes bizarre comments or has past scandals, that’s considered authenticity." wsj.com/opinion/republicans-…

ICE HSI agent Kent Blacklidge who racially profiled and tackled US citizen Leo Venegas while trespassing at his worksite (the first of Leo's three illegal detainments) was just arrested for rape and child sex crimes. The agent's duties had included child sex investigations.
ICE wrestled Alabama worker to the ground & detain him for hours—he is a U.S. citizen. Young man was begging & shouting, "I am a U.S. citizen"—but that didn't stop ICE agents from dragging him off to a detention center. Not following due process hurts us all—and our economy. His family said that ICE agents did release him after he was finally given the opportunity to prove he was a U.S. citizen—but only after many hours. This construction site in Foley, Alabama was forced to shut down for at least the day. How many other businesses were affected? #DemVoice1 #wtpBLUE #DemsUnited

YES!!!!! not to beat a dead horse. But we New Yorkers knew that Trump had orgies with his 'billionaire pedophile friend' and after spending 3 days in court WITH Epstein. you could not visit his mansion without knowing what he was doing!!! He had colored massage tables with sex toys that were confiscated by the FBI. EVERY SINGLE PERSON WHO ENABLED TRUMP EPSTEIN WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE
BREAKING: In a powerful move, Rep. Robert Garcia, who will Chair the House Oversight Committee once Democrats win tonight, just announced he will be overseeing the quick introduction of investigations into the Trump family's corruption and ties to the Epstein files. Let's go.

Change was needed
Friends, I regret to say that my bid for re-election to the Supreme Court of Texas has come up short. I and my judicial colleagues could not overcome the party-line voting in our largest counties. I congratulate the incoming justices and wish them well. Serving you as a Texas judge for the past 14 years has been an honor and a joy. I intend to work hard in the remaining weeks of my term and look forward to the future opportunities that God has in store for me. I am grateful for the help of so many friends who shared my positive message, contributed funds, hosted events, voted for me in bar polls, and supported and encouraged me and my family in many other ways during my campaign. Thank you!

Speaking of home healthcare: @MassGenBrigham's Home Hospital lost about $30M a year for three years, per an internal document reported by @BostonGlobe, so capacity drops from about 70 patients to 30 or fewer and pauses at three hospitals, refocusing on higher-acuity ED admissions. Good outcomes don't matter if the numbers don't add up. .buff.ly/RwNGpCl #DrYou

Fox News just called out Greg Abbott directly to his face on why he and Ken Paxton refused to debate their opponents in the Texas Senate and Gubernatorial races. He stumbles big time in answering the question.

.@JamesTalarico: In Texas, an out-of-state billionaire gave our governor $12 million to pass a private school voucher scam. Vouchers take money out of our underfunded public schools and give those tax dollars to wealthy parents who already have their kids in private school. It is literally a transfer of wealth from the bottom and the middle to the people at the very top, all because of corruption in our political system.

Let me be clear to anyone thinking about helping Trump interfere with California elections: If you interfere with voters or tamper with ballots, you will be prosecuted with a FELONY. And don't count on a pardon from the President. He can't pardon you out of California justice.

HPMC is staying Methodist
The United Methodist denomination has been front and center in the local headlines over the past few months, but over the weekend, another local Methodist church made the Dallas Morning News. Only this time, it paid for the privilege. First United Methodist Church, Dallas, which has sat at the corner of Ross and Harwood for more than a hundred years, purchased a full-page ad for an open letter written by its senior minister, Rev. Mitchell Boone. It came just days after Highland Park United Methodist Church, now known as Highland Park Methodist Church, voted to leave the denomination, and on the eve of a Sunday that would see the members who wanted to stay in the denomination worshipping elsewhere, with a new pastor. In the letter, Boone explains why his church will remain with the United Methodists. dmagazine.com/frontburner/20…

Tragic
For those that missed it a goalie just killed a man. There’s lots of times in a game where coming together can happen and result in serious injury. It would be crazy to assume the goalie here was trying to kill him. That being said there are some obvious differences between Owono and Neuer. For starters Neuer was in the box going for the ball. He won the ball. What he did isn’t even a foul, even though it was a physical play that left a player hurt. The attacker knows that when he’s in the box going for the ball the keeper will be going for it to. Owono was not in his box. He was in the halfway line. He didn’t have the right to catch the ball. That alone is a red card. He wasn’t going for the ball, he was trying to stop the player. He lead with a flying knee and fist to stop the player from getting past him. It’s a straight red and a serious suspension regardless of how bad the player was hurt. It’s illegal play because of course you can’t throw a flying knee into an unsuspecting person. It’s wildly dangerous, and in this case literally killed someone. At a bare minimum he should never be allowed to play professional sports again.
