🇩🇪 German state governments are advancing legislation that would require social media platforms to tweak their algorithms so at least 20 percent of content is “diversity-promoting.”
State media would automatically qualify for the privileged status of being featured in these recommendations, while private media organizations would need to apply and show they are sufficiently pro-diversity to receive approval from the state media authorities.
