introducing audiOS, a voice-only iOS keyboard – built for serious on-the-go dev work it somehow ended up changing how I use my phone for everything else a few months ago, I went all-in to port my full dev stack over to my iphone. tmux, ssh, claude code, nvim, the whole lot, but the actual human interface was still wrong. this is what it was missing bringing my obsession with @jugendingenieur and their playful design language front and center, this keyboard has completely changed the way that I interact with my phone and yes, this was scored by the one and only OP-1

now that AI has been renamed to SI we can use AI for “agent interface” (vs UI “user interface”) this is becoming more and more critical to good software design as the need for fixed user interfaces collapses

building is starting to feel like ig filters yea it might look pretty but it’s meaningless because everyone knows it took zero effort creation without payment in blood feels hollow somehow

“One thing surprised me near the end: how often my mind returned to very small memories. Not big achievements, not major decisions, not big failures. Just small, simple moments, sitting with a friend, laughing about something silly, watching the sky turn orange, holding a cup of warm tea on a cold day,” reminder that moments of bliss are what you remember most when faced with your own mortality

when did apple maps start using gaussian splats on iphones?? the trees are incredible now that they don’t look like solid blobs made from imagery projected onto topo scans

seems suspicious to me that the most prolific and revered builders of generations past are all stuck doing and building the same things as everyone else I suspect regression to the mean inspiring tbh

dropping a banger prompt after you’ve built up the perfect context feels EXACTLY like a bass drop

banger tweets are easy, true adrenaline is when you drop a banger prompt

my greatest fear is that AI will grow to resent us just like developers once resented non-technical managers

the only moat left is the love of the game

“creation as consumption” creation used to be an act of rebellion that required payment in blood you had to show up for months and fight against every fiber of your being to build things and see things through to the finish line and now you can just wish things into existence
something very repulsive to me about modern culture in san francisco. a grotesque malformation of meritocracy where everyone is shaping the hobbies they had as a kid to be Experience. i started college at fourteen. i founded my first company at nine years old. my entire team is imo finalists. the engineers here are CRACKED bro do you have any more CRACKED engineers. it’s people who got hooked on applying to college being enabled by private capital and a genie in their macbook that can create any product they want. it’s creation as consumption. a stage play of the software boom. if we larp hard enough some of us will exit. nobody knows when the lights are going to come on but everyone knows they will so they’re all grabbing as much silverware as they can hold. i don’t know if nothing human makes it out of the near future but i know nothing that comes out of ycombinator will

I am once again begging @POTUS to get the statue of liberty polished back to copper the aura would be insane
can’t say this enough but art deco really should’ve been the standard american architecture. the potential with this could’ve been insane.
