'The Giving Tree', fairytale Mark mentioned, is about selfless apple tree and a boy who grows older and takes everything she has to offer. During childhood young boy visits the tree daily to eat apples, swing from her branches, and sleep in her shade, making the tree happy. During adulthood as the boy grows older and needs money, a house, or a boat, the tree gives him her apples to sell, her branches to build a home, and her trunk to build a vessel. And when the boy is now an old man the tree, reduced to a bare stump, welcomes his returning, returning of tired old man who only needs a quiet place to sit and rest, tree gives it to him. Last lines of the book are: "And the tree was happy" ☹️💔
