Read about our data on Americans' evolving attitudes toward AI
Opposition to local #AI data centers rises sharply in just four months, according to a new @APPCPenn survey. 3 in 5 Americans oppose the centers & most think government has done too little regulate AI. annenbergpublicpolicycenter.…
I sometimes feel like my current writing feels less like me than my old writing did. I was taught decades ago to use the techniques that now mark prose as AI: medial modifiers, em-dashes, building to contrast, etc. I take those out in revisions so people don't think I'm just AI!
Come work with us at @APPCPenn !
Deputy Director Opening, Annenberg Public Policy Center. Ideal for somebody passionate about organizing a research agenda and contributing to policy efforts.

Can't endorse this enough--@GlynnBoltman has produced an amazing podcast!
Want to understand young voters?
An unparalleled starting point is this new podcast by @UPennSAS's own @GlynnBoltman. Boltman interviews >60 young people in 3 swing states, uncovering key insights about why many young people don't identify as political (or take polls).

@phl_cgoffice @StreetsPhila @PhiladelphiaGov : there is persistent illegal dumping on Cuthbert St between 12th and 13th. Streets department visited but it persists.
Sigh. *Just at Penn* there are multiple programs doing this, from @PennGSE to @PennFels to undoubtedly many others. Facts matter.
City governments around the U.S. partner with local researchers to find solutions to issues like traffic congestion and fighting fires. Why won’t Philly take advantage of our local colleges to do the same?

This is increasingly important: people need a benchmark to judge what an "A" means in different classes.

1) Harvard is already considering reporting median grades, and using numbers instead of letters to eliminate frame of reference. I strongly applaud versions of these ideas. I say: report mean grade and use grades 0-11.

@PhiladelphiaGov @phl_cgoffice @ccdphila What is the plan to deal with this broken big belly can on 13th (btwn Market & Commerce)? It's been broken for over a month, I submitted a 311 ticket weeks ago. It blows trash everywhere, please remove it!

Why do people bother to shame those who post offensive things online? Americans prompted to consider the approval of people in their political party were more likely to reply to offensive posts, suggesting such replies are partisan signals. In PNAS Nexus: ow.ly/30qQ50Uh3IS
