The US needs to go from ~100k/robots built domestically to 10m+ Generational opportunity to be part of the solution We’ve been working with lots of robotics companies producing individual parts and sub-assemblies Next step for us is to build the full robot as a contract mfg

Introducing Gemini 4 Carbon, it's a big jump over Argon which we released just 2 weeks ago. Gemini 4 Carbon is SOTA on cyber, long horizon tasks, ranks #1 on Artificial Analysis V5, significantly improves on usability in domains like coding, and is more aligned.

BREAKING: Fully autonomous excavators are now performing paid construction work on active U.S. job sites without operators in the cab. @BedrockRobotics has just secured $600M in Series C funding to accelerate commercial deployments. The startup retrofits existing heavy equipment with sensors and software, enabling autonomous excavation without onboard operators. Major construction firm Haydon plans to deploy the technology across data centers, advanced manufacturing facilities, water infrastructure, and healthcare projects.

we absolutely should in fact genetically engineer bioluminescent plants & trees and then completely eradicate the affront to God that is LED street lights from the face of the Earth
How come it's always war and never like road work. Can we genetically engineer some giraffes for construction projects?

Here’s an early prototype of an AI designed and 3D printed electronic motor. We used our Continuum Engine platform to produce electromagnetic, thermal and mechanical simulations rapidly for the 3D optimised model. The physical product was constructed, molecule by molecule, by our Fabricator. The goal is to enable full products - from drones to satellites and medical devices - fully assembled from raw material by one small machine. No supply chain fragility, entirely under one roof. Producing all electronics, motors, chassis, batteries, antennas all together, rapidly and more optimised than possible with yesterday’s machines. We’re very close to letting you vibe code with a real-life matter compiler.

This might sound crazy. But one of the skills you NEED to learn is how to deal with a more and more illiterate society full of emotionally dysregulated people. If you keep getting frustrated every day over how "ďumb" everything/everyone seems, the stress of it is going to wreck your mind.

Yesterday we visited Shenzhen InnoX Academy, a hardware incubator founded by Li Zexiang, often called the godfather of robotics in China. His student Frank Wang started DJI out of his HKUST lab, and Li backed it early. Most hardware incubators give you access to 3D printers and CNC machines. InnoX also has stress testing rigs for corrosion, drop tests and sustained use, so you find out how your product fails before shipping. But what I found most interesting is that they help with the first step of manufacturing. Going from a prototype to your first production batch is hard for a lot of hardware startups and where it's easy to lose speed. InnoX has manufacturing people on site who build that first larger batch for you AND help you write the standard operating procedures to go to efficient larger scale production. They also have a large network of manufacturers, and some of them invest in kind by putting up the capital and the people to make your product. For a hardware startup, that can mean your seed round isn’t only cash but someone providing you with 35 of their workers and factory space to produce your first 100k units.

HOLY SHIT for the first time ever, a human has been injected with a treatment designed to rewrite their DNA directly INSIDE their body using prime editing if it works, it would be the first time prime editing has successfully corrected a genetic mutation directly inside a living human

This is how I'd fix the iPhone Duo's ridiculous sidebar. I call it Twin Islands. Two little glass bars: one around the camera for statuses, one at the bottom for app controls. Apps get the full width of the screen. Controls stay under your thumb. Thoughts?

As an AI hardware founder in Shenzhen, I sift through tons of smart devices daily. Most of them are pure noise. So I spent the last 2 months putting together almost every single AI hardware project on the market that is actually worth seeing. Click into any product to get its official website + GitHub repo. Enjoy! 👇

The problem of our time is not merely information overload. It is that the time required to construct a coherent understanding of reality is becoming longer than the time during which that understanding remains valid.

EXCLUSIVE: A U.S. startup is making digging up roads to install fiber optic cables obsolete. @TRAXyL is transforming how fiber infrastructure is deployed across the trillion-dollar telecommunications industry, embedding cables directly into pavement at one-tenth the cost and up to 10x faster than traditional trenching. TRAXyL also revealed exclusively to Atoms Not Bits that it is working with Hawaiian Telcom to expand connectivity across hard-to-reach areas of Hawaii, building on growing traction across commercial and national security markets.
