Sorry to inform you that I purchased my first property before the boom so the interest rate hikes aren't any different to the interest i was paying at the time of purchase but rent has doubled. You'll find that most landlords are right leaning.. atleast the ones I know. But also you'll find that young people who aren't deluded by communist ideas that still have some kind of ambition yet cant afford a home naturally glide to the right also.. Id much rather be on the right than the left, imagine calling yourself educated and being on under 250k..
