Wait. I can own an otter?? 🦦
Tired of the election map? The yellow states are the states where you can legally own an otter.

Ew. I bet they will hit pharmacies, too. I wonder if morgues are IOT?

The real shocker is that they haven’t succeeded cold storage warehouses, yet, that I’ve seen.

“What do you mean he was in charge of the Institute of Genetics, and he didn’t believe in genetics?!”

I have gotten SO MANY pieces of Vote Latino junk mail, it’s insane. They don’t know I’m not Latino.
Saw an old white lady at HEB with a "Vote Latino" canvas bag, and it's about time to finish the whole bottle. #electiondrinkinggame

Because of the combination of names in our house, I got all the kids vaccination reminders in Spanish, too. Universal Latina Belt.

Out here it's usually more like "our equipment is 50 years old, and the fire station's dalmatian is now blind, please, bro, please, do you want to die in a fire?"
California local ballot initiatives are like, "Should the voters do the right thing and provide for a healthy and happy society, at pretty much no cost and with no downsides at all, by doing wonderful things for everyone? Yes/No"

We made fun of "you have no idea what's coming" but tbh I didn't see Draco Malfoid coming.

Oh, no. I hadn’t considered that the useless group project members would suddenly feel emboldened.
uni group work going so bad we had to create a secret document with the real project because one group member won't stop replacing our work with AI slop

The best thing about every election day is that the election is finally *over.* Unfortunately, I'm guessing the 2028 campaign will start in like... January.

Glory Days. Jack and Diane. Boomer stuff. They took aging very badly. Still do.
It’s really funny how there were multiple movies in 1999 that had the plot “the death of the American Dream is kinda like being a pedophile.” What was that about?

They're still going to scream at you in the park, dude. 🤷‍♀️
Our country is teetering on the brink of fascism, and we need all hands on deck to fight for our democracy. Abdul El-Sayed’s candidacy is a key part of that fight. I stand with him, as should every person who cares about our freedom and our future.

My very favorite version of this is when they get mad about our distinction between chicken burgers and chicken sandwiches. Like, you want to mock us for loving burgers, then mock us for actually being particular about burger details?
It continues to amaze me that people don’t get that a country with 300 million people has its own set of culinary histories and traditions.

We did Mavis Beacon on IBMs in 5th grade, and the teacher would cover your hands with pieces of paper as the year progressed. This was like, 1989/1990. Then in high school, I took "Correspondence" on actual typewriters.
No one’s a faster typer than an elder millennial who took a keyboard class in middle school.
