A giant LED robot stopped by our booth at #MSPNXT and fit right in with all that green. Best booth visitor of the week 🤖 #cybersecurity #emailsecurity

What’s the one bet you’d make on the MSP market for the next 18 months? Our CEO David Setzer answered that on the #MSPNXT main stage with leaders from Halo, Blackpoint Cyber and SentinelOne, moderated by Paul Redding. #zerotrust #emailsecurity

Your clients may have stopped using email encryption without telling you. With Bracket, they wrap the subject in [brackets] and send. No plugins, no recipient accounts. Ed Roberts of Lethos Technology Services calls it “simple and easy.” Check it out: hubs.la/Q04CC5ly0

Ross Bullington, JJ Hathaway, Cody Ekle and Kristen Clark brought the glow to #MSPNXT. Light-up glasses and Trust No One shirts turn out to be a great combo. #cybersecurity #zerotrust #emailsecurity

Shield handles an email that comes in by assuming that it is a high-risk email, and then we look for markers in the email to determine if it's good. Then we mark no-risk indicators, and if there are enough no-risk indicators, it's a deliverable message.

“I’d rather get 10 calls a day asking why something got blocked than one call that someone just transferred $100,000 to the wrong account.” Carmi Gross of Greenlight Tek on why his healthcare clients can’t opt out of zero trust email security. hubs.la/Q04CCl2n0

Three of us are wearing shirts that say Trust No One. Then our partner, Randolph Carnegie of Ken-Kar Consulting, walked up, and the arms went around shoulders anyway. He knows how much zero trust matters for email. Cody, Kate and Scott are at NexGen, booth 101.

Anthony Turner runs a homelab with an unnecessary number of Docker containers. Website, media server, game servers, all of it. He’s also our new Technical Support Specialist. Nine years on on-prem email, four on file transfer for the CDC. He knows how to keep email moving.

Keep a hand on your badge at NexGen. Merlot is a 28-year-old green-winged macaw who lives in the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress lobby and is a known pickpocket. Any bird wearing that much green has our approval. Our team is there Oct 18-20, booth 101. Say hi to both of us.

SPF and DKIM don't stop someone from spoofing the 'from address' your user actually sees. DMARC checks whether that display name aligns with the domain the message really came from. Take a closer look at DMARC with our VP of Support, Mark Glowacz: hubs.la/Q04xBxpR0

Are you a chicken? In Ybor City that's a protected status. The feral flock roaming those streets, covered by city ordinance. You cannot legally chase one. Ten minutes from there, CyberFOX has the SecureIT Summit on September 9 and 10. hubs.la/Q04w8sp50

What breaks SPF most often? Mail from systems people forget. CRMs, scanners, ticketing tools, voicemail. If it isn't in the record, it fails. Too many includes blow past the DNS lookup limit too. SPF changes when your tools change. Learn more at hubs.la/Q04w6GNY0

Spear phishing describes the targeting. Commodity phishing describes the volume. Neither tells you when the message was written. AI now writes one email, for one person, at the moment of sending, and never reuses it. We call it just-in-time phishing. hubs.la/Q04w6MY50

An outage that drags on for days will make any MSP rethink their stack. Luis Alvarez of Alvarez Technology Group lived one: 10 days scrambling to change MX records so clients could still send mail. He found Mailprotector and Bracket. His clients love it. hubs.la/Q04w6HXv0

Nobody writes a 5-star review about a search bar. A Shield user just did. Spotlight finds the email wherever it landed, whatever folder it went to. Forget Message Trace, and clients have the same search feature. Not all email security is created equal. hubs.la/Q04w6DJy0

You're escorting the king's golden geese to the next city. Halfway there, three guards stop you. Orders of the king, they say. Hand them over. Do you trust them? Play along with us and discover what D&D teaches us about zero trust email security: hubs.la/Q04tBFgc0

If you’re just getting started, p=none is usually the safest move.  That puts #DMARC into monitoring mode. Mail still flows, but you get visibility into where messages are coming from and whether #SPF and #DKIM are aligned. hubs.la/Q04tBpR90 #cybersecurity #emailsecurity

Email security checks IDs at the door. ITDR is the wingman who spots the guy using a stolen one. Mark Glowacz on where prevention ends, and detection begins. "Email Security and ITDR Walk into a Bar" at MSP NXT, Austin, Oct 27-29 25% off: hubs.la/Q04tB8v00 #MSPNXT26
