Kill the nice guy inside you, bro. Minimize your kindness. This generation has no memory. Become ruthless or get crushed.

Muslims, let's stop lying to ourselves. Most Muslim countries are not tolerant of other religions. In Saudi Arabia, a Christian can't build a single church. In Pakistan, mobs burned more than 20 churches in one day in Jaranwala over a blasphemy rumour. In Iran, Baha'is are barred from university just for what they believe. Meanwhile the UK has nearly 2,000 mosques, and nobody is burning them down. We demand tolerance everywhere we're the minority. Then refuse to give it everywhere we're the majority. That's not faith. That's hypocrisy.

Your relationship with yourself cannot be built entirely around improvement. At some point, you have to become someone you are allowed to enjoy being. You get to be proud of who you are. Present tense.

I broke up with my boyfriend because he refused to lend me $15,000. Two weeks later, I found out why he said no. We’d been together for three years, and I’d never asked him for anything that big before. My mother was about to lose her house. She’d fallen behind on her mortgage after a series of medical bills, and the bank had given her a final deadline. I had $4,000 saved. My boyfriend had plenty more. When I explained everything, he listened quietly and said he couldn’t give me the money. I asked why. He said he loved me, but he wasn’t comfortable putting that much money into a situation he didn’t fully understand. I was furious. This was the man who kept talking about marrying me, yet he wouldn’t help save my mother’s home. I told him I couldn’t build a future with someone who watched my family suffer when he could help. He asked me not to make a permanent decision while I was upset. I ended the relationship that night.

After the 2027 election, the next race will be 2031, and Bukola Saraki’s name is already being mentioned among the leading figures from the North Central. What nobody can predict yet is how he would emerge. Will he be a consensus candidate, or will he go through a party primary? And the bigger question: can he build a coalition across parties? We have seen how President Tinubu has gathered political heavyweights from different parts of the country behind him. If Saraki is to go all the way, he will need that same kind of broad support. His track record is strong: governor, senator, Senate President. Many believe he has what it takes to lead. But in Nigerian politics, a good record is only the starting point. Alliances decide who gets to the finish line. So the real question is not whether Saraki is qualified, but whether he can bring the parties and zones together.

I know someone who made over ₦200 million during COVID-19. This was someone I fed and sponsored financially for five years, including his daily lifestyle. He was the only person I gave unrestricted access to my home. He could visit at any time of the day, and he even had a room in my apartment where he could sleep whenever he came around. Whenever I went shopping for clothes on the Island, he would pick out clothes alongside me. We would go clubbing all night, and I would give him plenty of cash to spray. Sometimes, I would spend over ₦200,000 on drinks alone. Then COVID-19 happened, and my guy made about ₦200 million. He bought four cars almost immediately, relocated to the Island, and made new friends. At a time when clubs were closed because of the COVID-19 lockdown, my guy was taking flights to Abuja to party with his new circle of friends. The day our friendship took a bitter turn was when my car broke down, and I asked him to lend me one of his cars so I could attend an outing and secure a business deal with a firm in Ilupeju. His excuse was that his girlfriend was coming to collect one of the cars for an occasion. As for the other two, he said he only drove them occasionally and could not lend them to anyone, not even his father. That was the moment I decided to stop talking to him. To be sincere, it hurt. After everything I had done for him over the years, I never imagined that asking for a simple favour would expose how much our friendship had changed. Some time later, he relocated to the UK. Four years later, I ran into him last week at a club in Ajao Estate. From the beginning of the night until the end, the hype man kept calling my name as I stole the show. Eventually, he approached me to say hello. I snubbed him. Never forget the people who stood by you when you had nothing. Money can buy you new friends and a luxurious lifestyle, but it cannot rewrite your history.

They're evil, you can’t be killing people with fake drinks and medications in the quest to become rich
Igbos are comfortably killing Nigerians and nobody is saying anything about it. Okay.
