I have a feeling this will resonate with many of our followers - the questions, pressures and uncertainties of WHEN to have kids as an ECR.

Some excellent advice given in response to this - any more from any followers? From my perspective, it returned. Critical thought is now functioning again. But I find it hard to switch quickly between critical thought and play time!

Is it possible to do the job of a prof in 28 or 32 hours a week? Cant really imagine managing childcare if working more, but afraid of part-time trap - being paid less, but working full... So any experiences out there - is this possible? @Momademia #AcademicTwitter

Alena Sander and Claire Grauer reflect on why academic motherhood is so hard right now (and what institutions can do to support us).
Note: this one made me cry because it feels very accurate.

There are some really important ongoing discussions about how this pandemic will impact diversity, equity, and inclusion in academia. Thread of some of those articles below.
Academic mamas - would be great to get our experiences counted in this study! It really is about 20 minutes and very simple to fill out.

Anyone else had this experience? I'm honestly shocked - I have never had my babies' presence questionned, but my husband definitely has. Well done to @Mayhew1Mayhew for taking her baby despite such comments.
Disappointing experience at @TheBSCCP ASM. As a mother unable to leave baby at home, publicly taken aside and made to feel very unwelcome by senior committee member. “We don’t want to set a precedent.“ they said. Such a shame that working parents must still endure this in 2019.
