Your narrative would fold like a house of cards on a windy day under competent cross examination. We would talk about Oleh Liashko, and his open association with Aidar Battalion commander Serhii Melnychuk, and Yurii Shushkevych, the son of Roman Shushkevych. How Liashko helped create the Shaktarshk Battalion, together with known Azov operative Andriy Filonenko, and how Liashko used the Shakhtarshk battalion to hunt down and arrest the mayor of Stakhanov (I’m surprised you use this name, since your fellow Ukrainian nationalists renamed it Kadiivka in 2016; I’m sure it’s part of your deception campaign), Yuri Borisov, on charges of seperatism (a Ukrainian court later acquitted Borisov of all charges). We can talk about the Plast scouting movement and its compelled membership since 2014, and the role it played in promoting the Ukrainian language over Russian in Lugansk and the Donbas. There is so much we could talk about. Save your lies for your fellow Ukrainian nationalists/Banderists. Those who respect fact-based truth don’t want to have anything to do with you.

NextBSD 27.0 is getting closer, with only 13 of 34 epics left. 🚀 Gershwin is the default desktop. Should it be the only one at launch, or do you want another option too? Vote here 👇 github.com/orgs/nextbsd/disc…

When asked “Would you download a distro (LCOS) from this man (Lunduke)?” The official DistroWatch social media account responds, “Not even if he paid me.” In other news: LCOS is climbing up the charts at DistroWatch, currently at rank 25 for the week. distrowatch.com/table.php?di…

The Mesa RADV driver (important for AMD GPUs on Linux) has updated their policy to “LLM-assisted” contributions. This policy stops just short of an outright ban on LLM usage, but makes it clear that bug reports and code submissions created using AI are not wanted and that reviewers “may close such [Merge Requests] as their discretion”. gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/…

The age of agents is going to be amazing for most programmers, but it'll be hard times for the cantankerous ones. Specialized knowledge and rare skills will no longer offer immunity for those who are a pain to work with. Best learn some basic people skills.

🎨 What is the state of Svelte + local LLMs? Turns out, pretty great! I generated this multiplayer Tic-tac-toe game in ~2 hours using my laptop, Qwen 3.8 27B and Bionic from LM Studio. Fully offline! We also have a local LLM leaderboard at stanislav.garden/svelte-benc… ! #svelte

Linus Torvalds just called the Linux 7.4 merge window *BIG*, and he's pinning it on AI. Happily. Some background: every kernel release opens with a two-week "merge window", when maintainers send in their new features and fixes. Weeks of -rc test releases follow. A normal window lands around 15k commits. Linux 7.4 took in almost 20k, the biggest merge window in kernel history. Phoronix counted 19,671, against 16,267 for 7.3. In the 7.4-rc1 announcement Torvalds wrote: "I'm *much* happier with the flood of AI triggered work going into the merge window than it showing up mainly as extra fixes during the -rc period." He called it "a much healthier model." He gave two other reasons for the size. Developers expect 7.4 to be this year's LTS kernel, and "a full third of the patch is just AMD GPU register offsets and bit masks." If the usual schedule holds, the final Linux 7.4 release should land around December 20.

Ubuntu maintains their own LTS kernels instead of using the ones from kernel.org. They have to identify and backport patches on a case-by-case basis instead of getting thousands of patches every week from upstream LTS kernel. RHEL has the same issue and so do others.
