If we take to the streets today, they will deploy the police against us. If we wait until 2027, they rig the election, and we take to the streets, they will still deploy the police against us. So what exactly are we waiting for?
Making it optional gives leeway for loopholes.
It should be mandatory, with exception in dier cases which the commission should prove with clear proof.

I support LIVE STREAMING of election results. Kabisa!
In 2027, The Sponsors Chronicles Bureau (SCB) will LIVESTREAM election results from all the 50,000-plus polling stations, complete with VIDEO of the actual announcements.
Our systems are READY. They have been TESTED FOUR TIMES.
Now, let us deal with the misinformation industry.
Parliament did NOT pass a law making LIVESTREAMING ILLEGAL.
That is the usual misinformation industry at work. Creating outrage over a prohibition that does NOT exist.
LIVESTREAMING IS LEGAL!
In addition, the law provides important safeguards,
1. Results declared at polling stations are FINAL.
2. Electronic transmission of presidential results remains COMPULSORY.
3. Publication of results on a public portal remains a requirement.
4. Physical delivery and verification of the original Form 34A remain part of the process.
So, if LIVESTREAMING is LEGAL, why make it optional?
In my view, the answer is practical.
Livestreaming mechanisms can fail. Bad weather, network outages, equipment failure, deliberate sabotage or simply the internet deciding to misbehave.
Now, should a failed livestream, despite the existence of properly declared, transmitted and verifiable results, become grounds for invalidating an entire election?
That is the question.
Every political party can deploy agents to polling stations. Subject to the applicable electoral rules, those agents can record and broadcast the announcement of results.
The MEDIA can also livestream results from polling stations, subject to the applicable rules and accreditation requirements.
The amendment does NOT introduce a prohibition against any of that.
And neither does it prevent political parties from developing their own livestreaming infrastructure.
So, WACHENI UWONGO NA PETTINESS!
Instead of manufacturing malice where none has been demonstrated, PREPARE FOR THE ELECTION.
1. Look for that elusive UNITY.
2. Stop the endless internal opposition fights.
3. Get an AGENDA that speaks to Kenyans and offer your alternative governance plan.
Step out of the cycle of waiting for the next burial to find a political platform.
Spend less time in hotel rooms and press conferences.
Develop an actual STRATEGY to compete.
Because HII UWONGO NA DELIBERATE MISINFORMATION will not substitute for organisation, preparation or an agenda.
Once again, a reminder,
THE RESULTS WILL BE LIVESTREAMED.
From 50,000-plus polling stations. With VIDEO of the announcements.
SCB is READY.
Prepare to LIVESTREAM too.
NO-ONE STOPS YOU. NO LAW BANS IT.
Sina mengi ya kusema kwa sasa.
