What the study says is that the “beauty” and preservation of the mucosa is not a marker for continence. And what I think is that we don’t see the sphincter (hopefully) during this surgery. We just traditionally use the wrong equation “intact mucosa=EUS FUNCTIONAL INTEGRITY.
