Head Coach Kevin O'Connell has announced that Carson Wentz will serve as the team's backup QB on Sunday and that J.J. McCarthy will serve as the 3rd QB. O'Connell says it'll be a week-to-week thing as far as the backup QB spot goes.

Six-time Pro Bowl safety Harrison Smith and the Vikings agreed on a one-year contract to bring him back for a 15th NFL season, sources say. The deal has a base value of $8 million and can be worth up to $16M with incentives — a compromise to keep a legacy player in the fold.

In my admittedly old school view , 5 subs is one of the worst changes made in football. Flown in under cover of Covid. Allows managers to change half the team. No wonder second halves of games are so fragmented. 3 subs was just fine.
