Could Man City’s 115-charge case have consequences beyond points deductions and sporting sanctions? 👀⚽ My latest article examines whether the Independent Commission’s reported findings could trigger scrutiny under the Independent Football Regulator’s ODSE regime and the Premier League’s Owners’ and Directors’ Test, potentially raising questions about ownership, governance, and executive suitability. A look at the legal and regulatory issues that could shape the next chapter of this landmark case. #MCFC #PremierLeague #FootballRegulation #SportsLaw #FootballGovernance #FFP #IFR #SportsBusiness Could Manchester City’s 115-Charge Verdict Trigger Consequences Under the IFR ODSE Regime and the PL Owners’ and Directors’ Test? markoneill468207.substack.co…

What MCFC are arguing here is technically true in that ADUG is a separate legal entity from the UAE state. In practical terms, the boundaries between the 2 are so blurred by the personnel involved in both (i.e., Sheikh Mansour is both the owner of ADUG and the VP of the UAE) that the separation is effectively moot. Key questions to consider: - who exercises effective control; - who appoints management; - where strategic decisions originate; - whether entities are acting independently or in concert; - whether one entity is the "directing mind and will" of another. From the known facts, the answer to most of these questions appears to be Sheikh Mansour or those appointed by him bbc.co.uk/sport/football/art…

Still waiting for this body of "irrefutable evidence"... maybe they left it behind the sofa and forgot to give it to the Independent Commission 🙄 #ManCity #MCFC #PremierLeague BBC News - Man City confirm appeal against guilty verdict bbc.co.uk/sport/football/art…

Just catching up with the MCFC PL statement and skim reading the Core Decision of the IC Panel, it is stunning and truly excoriating that they have effectively that MCFC were dishonest and that witnesses lied to them. Hopefully now puts their guilt beyond doubt #MCFC #Mancity

This is where parts of Britain have got to: a mob of black-shirted, balaclava-masked racists descends on a hotel hosting Pakistan’s Under-19 cricket team because, seeing the colour of their skin, they assume they must be migrants. The sooner this mob, and those who have encouraged and emboldened it, is put back in its box, the better for all of us. share.google/aAQ9rlbW1R3KRNX…

Very interested to hear from any Swiss law experts as to the criminal offence that UEFA are alleging here?
