In Nigeria's Middle Belt, a Christian farming village saw 60 armed Fulani militants approaching at 7pm and called police & the army for help. At 9pm they were overrun. Only 3 soldiers were there. Attackers went door to door in Gero village, Plateau State. 7 killed. Locals say this happens almost every week. This is what persecution looks like in Nigeria.

"You said you'd call me in the morning." A Nigerian Christian mother in Jos had an unfinished call with her only son last night. This morning at the hospital, she found his body in the back of a truck. He was among 7 killed in an attack by Fulani jihadists near a Christian orphanage outside Jos, the capital of Plateau State

Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo broke down yesterday as he recounted how he had to cancel his trip to Ghana for a church conference following renewed attacks on his members. Speaking to his congregation on Sunday, October 25, Dachomo said the attacks began shortly after he returned from Israel, leaving him broken once again as he buried three people killed in one of the villages — a moment where he was filmed weeping inside a mass grave. "I'm tired of burial. My ribs are paining me because of crying, weeping. No help. As if they were waiting for me to arrive from Israel. Attacks from one village to another."

This unfinished building is Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo's church in Plateau State. Inside: widows, orphans, the displaced, and families who still face attacks every day. They have lost so much — but not their faith. Today they lifted their hands and sang with everything left in them: “Where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord.”

They say persecuted Christians in Nigeria are making it up. They say Nigerian Christians just hate Islam. They say "both sides face the same challenges." So explain this. She's not African. She's not Nigerian. She's thousands of miles away — and she faced the exact same persecution as so many girls in northern Nigeria. How do completely different groups of people, living thousands of miles apart, make up the exact same story about the exact same faith at the exact same time?
Tell me about the "Islamophobia". Tell that to the 7-year-old me, who was forced to wear this (photo on the right) to school every day since she was 7 years old. Tell the 8-year-old me that she was about to be molested by an adult man in a very conservative neighborhood on her way to school, and that if she didn't run fast enough and the school wasn't close enough, who knows what would happen to her. Tell me my entire childhood wasn't taken away from me. Tell me my adolescence in Iran was not filled with terror. Tell me I wasn't oppressed and abused and that I'm just a "Islamophobe."

This is Pastor Matthew Kure, joyfully leading his congregation in praise and worship — just months after burying more than 50 of them. On Palm Sunday, April 13, 2025, armed Fulani jihadists invaded Zikke, a small Christian village 30 miles west of Jos, Nigeria, shouting Allahu’Akbar [God is great]. Within minutes, 55 people were killed. When soldiers arrived 1hr later, bodies were scattered across the village — on the streets and inside homes. At least five people were shot and hacked to death in front of Pastor Kure’s church as half the village burned. Pastor Kure narrowly escaped. The attackers tried to break down the Baptist Church doors to burn it down. When the doors would not give way quickly, they abandoned the church and continued the killings elsewhere. More than half of his 100-member congregation was killed that day. Months later, the trauma remains. The wounds are still fresh. But Pastor Kure and his church are still gathering. Still worshipping. Still praising God. Please remember Zikke. Please remember Pastor Kure and his congregation in your prayers.

Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo prays for America and Israel as he kneels and weeps in front of the mass grave of his own church members killed in Nigeria. His prayer: "Father, visit Trump - let him increase foot soldiers to come to Middle Belt. Use your power to bring out Benjamin Netanyahu to save us in Nigeria. Father, protect Israel from their enemy... bless America and Israel that would join to save us in Nigeria. I want peace to reign in this country. Fight the battle that we cannot fight."
