So @Muse did a much better job compared to my Dot in comparing flight prices and availability. Dottie was blocked on everything -- American Airlines wouldn't load and even after I took control on the computer to click 'Not a Robot" it still failed. Muse needed no intervention - wow!
I felt the same thing and started not reading reviews, checking Rezy/OpenTable and just walking around and feeling places out by reading the menu and seeing the vibe at like 7pm. Did this last night and walked into recente in the east village - they had a table and had a great meal. No wait and didnt waste time with bs alerts
Genuinely think that Resy and OpenTable have ruined the restaurant scene in many cities, including NYC
Impossible to walk into a great restaurant and be pleasantly surprised. Unless you are making plans weeks ahead of time, you will never find a seat
Social media obviously also has a lot to do with it too. Every decent place now has massive lines in front of it. There is no sense of hidden gems that only locals know about
Feels like the spontaneous experience of dining no longer exists
🎾 Any female tennis players (~3.0-3.5) in NYC want to sub for our @datadoghq tennis league tonight? We need 1-2, if anyone is around!
I should probably know this - but why is it common for companies to literally have thousands of AWS accounts?
If you're looking to network and have fun 😄 at @AWSreInvent , i recommend going through this list now and registering before everything fills up! @ConferenceParty
Which one are you most excited about?
conferenceparties.com/reinve…
Fastest hack to get a scammer off the phone
Just press call recording after you pick up and it will play a voice recording which scares them off
I feel like these @SlackHQ statuses would have hit in 2016 Tech a lot better
🎃👻 Halloween used to be big on Twitter.
Everyone would make a Halloween pun from their profile name and you’d see headless CMS jokes everywhere.
what happened?
Just booked my flights for @AWSreInvent to attend with @datadoghq!!
Who will i be seeing this year?!
This was kinda mind-blowing to me, but I just learned Datadog's intern eng interviews don't consist of writing code anymore. No leetcode questions. Instead, they talk through projects they've worked on and talk through a provided app to see problem solving and communication, etc... this actually makes way more sense, but it's a huge shift from when I did intern interviews at places like Amazon and Airbnb and had to deal with those annoying reverse a binary tree questions
