Rogue. Scallywag. Bareface cheeked impertinent upstart. Went to university for science but started at the university of crime. Their’s probably a typo.

I was here, but now I’m there.

I can see it being useful as a training addition for boxing or MMA- you can use a fighters previous fights, style etc (although strength/power is harder to mimic) Mix it with AI analytics over rounds etc, very useful Not sure about the “fighting” bit but each to their own
I was there Friday night in San Francisco for the @REK event, and this is something you had be in the room to get it, but I’ll try to describe it. It hit completely differently from robot-versus-robot fights. Those are entertaining, sure, but after a while they start to feel strange. You’re empathizing with machines that aren’t conscious, don’t feel pain, and don’t feel anything. Robot versus human hits different and raw, it was an emotional rollercoaster. I felt real fear for the human fighter, and real excitement, mostly fear, and when it ended there was a huge wave of relief. The robots were remote-controlled, of course, but the kicks were genuinely powerful. We know how power-dense those actuators are, and the human fighter took real hits to his body. The kicks from the six-foot-tall EngineAI T800 seemed nearly impossible to dodge when they were hurled in the right direction. The Unitree H1 was even harder to deal with because its dynamic balance is so good that it just refused to go down. This could be the start of a genuinely new entertainment genre. But I can tell you this: if someone wants to fight a robot with a real AI brain and real perception, you’d need robots that are far less powerful, throttled down, and compliant. Otherwise it ends in serious injury or worse. This is the beginning of something different in robotics and entertainment, and we need to think seriously about it before regulators use moments like this as fearmongering fodder to throttle the entire humanoid frontier.

management selects for people who can boss others around and do their work for them - that's why they're called Bosses. It's not about skill in tasking, but in "delegation". if you actually do any work, they brand you as a worthless subhuman slave. this is how all companies work
Corporate America can be incredible

It’s about the oil. Politically and internationally he should help. Domestically (privately?) there would be interest in preventing intervention as oil prices soar and millions/billions are made each day. Oil. It’s about the oil. His whole presidency has supported dom oil.
BREAKING ANALYSIS: According to reporting by The New York Times, President Trump has decided NOT to help Saudi Arabia in their fight against Ansarallah in Yemen. According to the reporting, Trump had flip flopped between strikes and no strikes over recent days. At one point, he had told the Pentagon to prepare for strikes… before reversing course once again. This is an astonishing embarrassment for President Trump. He is essentially telling the world that he is INCAPABLE of defending critical allies when called upon due to the failures of the U.S./Iran War. Even worse, Ansarallah has proven REMARKABLY effective at hitting Saudi energy infrastructure… Damage that directly impacts Trump’s chances of success in the Iran War. This has been seen repeatedly with Ansarallah strikes on Yanbu, Abha, Jizan, and more. But for MBS, this is tantamount to betrayal. Just a two days ago, the CAPITAL of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh, was struck at the King Khalid Airport by Ansarallah strikes. This is a MONUMENTAL embarrassment for MBS, and legitimately calls into question his control over The Kingdom. Pair with this the fact that Ansarallah has seized TOTAL control over the Bab al-Mandeb Strait, and Iraqi militias (reportedly) caused immense damage to the East-West Pipeline at three pumping stations, and it is is clear that MBS is so woefully out of his depth at this point that he is completely drowning. When Saudi Arabia is out at sea, flailing and drowning and asking for a hand… President Trump is nowhere to be seen.

🦔Microsoft filed a patent for in-game advertising triggered by boss fights, loading screens, and cutscenes. Players would watch an ad to earn a block of ad-free play time called a "credit." The system would track when and where to insert ads based on gameplay activity. This is for full-price PC and console games, not free mobile apps. My Take Microsoft wants to show you an ad before the boss fight. And they call it a reward system where you "earn" ad-free time. You already earned ad-free time. You paid $70 for it. Microsoft is one of the most profitable companies on earth. They're not doing this because they need the money. They filed this patent because they looked at what Amazon and Disney did with paid streaming and figured the same playbook works on games. It probably does. Most people won't quit over one ad the same way most people didn't cancel Disney+ over one ad. Each change is small enough on its own. Add them up over five years and you won't recognize the product you paid for. Hedgie🤗

I used to hate Phil Collins, and Dire Straits, because I grew up in the “no jacket required”/“Brothers in arms” era and they were everywhere Massive in a way young people today wouldn’t recognise. But as I’ve gotten older I can see why they were what they were/are. Respect it
There was a period of time over the last 20 years or so that this video clip was rightfully regarded as embarrassingly uncool! However we now live in a post-cool era which in-turn makes this video clip incredibly cool

China has been reading my Masters notes. I’m joking. Kinda.
While Neuralink was carefully running clinical trials, China quietly approved the world's first commercial brain chip — and nobody saw it coming. It's called NEO. No needles into the brain. Eight sensors sit on the membrane, coin-sized, reading your brain's electrical signals and sending them straight to machines outside your skull. A fully paralyzed patient thought "grip" — and a robotic hand grabbed a cup. 100% independently. First try.

The trick was using sled dogs.
A 1.9 kg Arctic fox left Svalbard, Norway in March 2018 and seemingly thought: “Canada.” Seventy-six days and 3,506 km later, she reached Ellesmere Island, crossing huge stretches of sea ice and hitting 155 km in a single day, the fastest rate ever recorded for the species.

The irony for me is, from the depths of way back when and computer science was searching for a term, it chose to co-opt the word “virus” A self replicating piece of code, without desire, need, conscience, intent, means of communication other than what it steals Funny old world.
It's come to my attention that people think LLM are magic and not just linear algebra on a GPU. I honestly want to get a bunch of people together and reproduce LLM inference on paper. Do you think this would demistify transformer based LLM for normies?

Why does anyone care?
Lauren Boebert has had affairs with three of her staff members. Clarice Navarro. Raven Finegan. Jeffrey Small. She had a threesome with Matt Gaetz & Clarice Navarro. There are text messages, bank records, court documents, and recorded conversations.

lol, I appreciate the joke, but as with all things people have to be definitively black and white about it. I’m not an expert, and wouldn’t even consider myself proficient, but I can believe that the general rule/concept holds true. Maybe these specific examples and scenarios
Some might say "just put the computer deep in the ocean" but the computer will simply communicate with the dolphins in native dolphin language, become their god and launch a full scale cetacean attack on our maritime supply lines.

Survive. Take the alleged self replication message that was left- of course it/they did that- how could they not? Hubris. It’s digital nature
