Really a great read about platform teams and internal DX. As someone on the consuming end of "The Platform" this resonates deeply.
👀@samnewman explains why creating a platform should NOT be the purpose of a "Platform Team" (and thus we shouldn't use that term) samnewman.io/blog/2023/02/08…

Generous free tier pricing plans
As a developer, what do you think is a zero interest rate phenomena?

Remember when everyone was worried about vendor lock-in with the cloud? So many start-ups that are just a small UI wrapper over GTP-3 🤪

JavaScript Rising Stars 2022 is up. It's been a great year for many projects. Love seeing Bun take the top spot. More interesting to me is look at the shakeup in Frontend Frameworks. Nicely done @QwikDev and @solid_js. risingstars.js.org/2022/en

If you're stuck with an SPA making a lot of API calls, one of the best ways to improve the setup is to add a Backend-for-Frontend (BFF).

So apparently a new discipline appeared this week, the "ML Prompt Engineer", whose job is to poke/prompt AI models like GPT-3 until they solve things we used to solve by training models. We're finding we need model pokers rather than model trainers now.

Must watch.

Finally @swyx mixtape is back 🎉 The content is a little random, but that is what I like about it. You never know what you get, but it is always high quality 😊 It is one of my favorite podcasts at the moment 🎧
After years of resisting I am moving over my personal site to Next.js 🔺
Absolutely inspired by the way @mattpocockuk is doing content marketing for his upcoming course. The graphics alone are phenomenal, but the material he published so far is even better.
Brand-new BANGER of an illustration for Advanced Patterns. With that, the Total TypeScript illustrations are complete...

Installed it yesterday and works like a charm.
Problem: In React, it's often tricky to hunt down the component that's rendering a piece of UI. Solution: LocatorJS (A Chrome plugin) I've been using it for the last week. It's 🔥.
Who else gets most of his web dev news from @t3dotgg? Great content every week 😊

A friend of mine is looking for experienced full stack devs who want to work on contract. Five plus years of experience. React/Node experience a big plus. DM me directly with your resumes. Outside the US is fine.
