Does this guy have any power over us or can we just get him
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman believes people owning RAM is wasteful, and that it belongs in data centers instead. "From a global allocation perspective, actually, it’s quite terrible to have everyone have a bunch of the world’s limited supply of DRAM sitting in their own computer."

This isn't really true at all. Berserk much? We don't have to pretend that manga sucks just to defend american comics. Cape shit and shonen are for kids, let's not die on those hills.
Not a single manga will ever be considered one of the greatest pieces of literature of all time. There are countless comics that are though. You can’t even use the excuse that it’s foreign. There are countless great Japanese films that are considered some of the best films ever.

You can easily say the reverse. I don't see countless adaptations of Daytripper or Blacksad, yet Dragon Ball and Naruto are evergreen and people will flock to it with or without the original creator's involvement. Not to mention the manga to anime pipeline. IP driven.
the main difference between manga and american comics is that manga is about the story, whereas american comics are about the IP

Also yeah ik Blacksad isn't an american comic, just using an example of something these people probably have never read cus they're obsessed with anime and read manga to satiate the hunger

All this comes together and it just makes this idea seem silly. Why does this person feel the need to create this distinction in their mind? It's entirely fabricated and considering they can only name two american comic authors, I think maybe they just....don't read them.

KAIJU P.I. UPDATE: I’ll be adopting a graphic novel format for the next story, and canon is subject to change. What I like will remain, what I don’t will be ignored. I’m proud of The Egg, but consider it a proof of concept from here on out. More updates as they come!

This is what comics used to do. And hell, they used to tell whole stories every issue. Ngl, for floppies to continue to justify their existence, it's not a bad idea.
🚨 New Marvel EIC Stephen Wacker has a “new mandate” for Marvel Comics: Every issue should give readers enough to make them want to come back, no designated jumping-on point required. “Just find a cover you like and read it.” We dig in: aiptcomics.com/2026/10/06/st…

I still like longer arcs, I like how Fraction's Batman does this while having an emphasis on each Issue's own hook. In a way comics can still do both I think
