Huge character win for the Lions. I think the Vikings defence makes them a better team but it’s hard to think of a team with more guts and resiliency than Detroit.
Vikings are a better football team. Simple as that. Lions can’t match them. Championship dreams for this era are over.
I’ve been to Milwaukee maybe a dozen times in my life. Don’t think I’ve ever seen a cloud in the wall-to-wall sunshine that accompanied me. Oh, and the brats! 🤣 Very happy for the great baseball fans in that city. #worldseries
Three outs to go and they never got one. Rays stay alive to live another day. #WorldSeries
In my eyes, @Johnubacon is the finest non-fiction writer out there, no matter the subject. Today was a perfect day to finish “The Greatest Comeback”, an outstanding account of the 1972 Summit Series.
Speaks to the state of the Blue Jays — and Vlad — that not one of the five TVs in our Stouffville restaurant/bar is showing the Reds-Jays game. And no one is clamouring for it. #smart
It took 25 years, but it would seem Spartan Bob has company. @WMU_Football @UMichFootball

BREAKING NEWS: Youppi! has signed an executive order to rename Washington Nationals as “Montreal Expos,” a change the mascot says would take effect immediately
Not a single, solitary word in the @TheTorontoSun Saturday, yesterday and today about the #MarkhamIndy. At least not in my online editions. Who is making those decisions? Not really serving your readers. Newspaper, my ass.

With a TV call you can go long stretches where you let the visuals tell the story with no talking backing it up. That, obviously, doesn't work for radio.
Also, on radio the first rule is 'mention the score every 2 minutes' as people are popping in and out of the broadcast especially in their cars. That, obviously, doesn't happen on tv (there's a score bug for that).
Another issue is hearing an analysts say things like "as you can see here' or 'watch this' as they talk over replays. No good for radio.
This is just a couple of reasons why TV simulcasts always sound 'off' on radio and can be frustrating for the person listening.
#CBJ radio play-by-play voice Bob McElligott did not have his contract renewed by the club, which says it plans to simulcast its TV broadcast - Steve Mears on play-by-play, Jody Shelley as color commentator - via the radio network and affiliates.
