Bond 3 opens this week with 1,005 BTC of capacity.
That is more than the Genesis Bond and Bond 2 combined (735 BTC). BTC is staked along with STX for a 3% target yield, paid weekly in BTC.

Post-quantum Bitcoin has about a tenth of the bandwidth. The transactions have to live somewhere.
Wherever that is, it should be secured by Bitcoin hash power, settle in BTC, and pay yield in BTC. Not a separate chain with separate guarantees. From @muneeb at KBW.

The technical equivalent comparison of the Binance hack is the Silicon Valley Bank scare in March of 2023.
Technical and on-chain bottom was already in, social media panicked during the wall of worry.
(Bitcoin is still $20,000 above the low, social media in disarray.)

If you are wondering about the somewhat muted price impact to Bitcoin after last night's Binance hack, for reference, the MT Gox hack of 2014 was ~750K Bitcoin, which was about 30 days of trading volume at the time. Yesterday's Binance hack was 18,270 Bitcoin, or roughly 1/5th of a single day of Bitcoin's trading volume today, making Mt Gox ~167X worse for price impact.
FTX collapse marked the bottom.
So will the Binance hack.
The best way to recoup losses is to send prices significantly higher, not lower. Do not think for one moment that Binance won’t do exactly that.
They hold multiple billions in $BTC and have the firepower to execute multibillion dollar longs that aren’t visible to retail.
Not to mention, they probably made $1B in liquidations, slippage, and fees anyway.
It might just take some time for the market to rebalance after the temporary damage.
But after that, I think it’s crystal clear where we are headed on the HTF.

Good evening.
To everyone reading about the $5.9 billion Binance hack and declaring cryptocurrencies and Bitcoin dead, two things:
1) Bitcoin itself was not hacked, an exchange managing cryptocurrency wallets and holding the keys was hacked.
2) Former CEO CZ says that he expects Binance to fully cover the losses with their $144B balance sheet.
This event in no way shape or form exposed or impaired the Bitcoin network.
Have a great night.
ok safe to say binance is pwned
The biggest assets were approximately:
• 1.615B USDT
• 62.6M RLUSD
• 29,934 wBETH
• 11,372 XAUt
• 6.19M UNI
• 198.4M ENA
• 7.175T PEPE
• 27.8M USD1
• 2.26M LINK
• 127,853 AAVE
about $2.5B at the explorer’s prices.
1. The attacker deployed a delegate contract, 0x63e842b0...73e9c6fAe, from the relayer at 15:59 UTC.
2. About four hours later, the relayer submitted an EIP-7702 authorization transaction
That installed the malicious 7702 delegate code on Binance 14.
3. The relayer then made a call to Binance 14, executing the delegate code, and transferring Binance 14’s ETH and token balances.
4. The calldata is labeled sweep(address, address[]). The second argument is a list of recognizable token-contract addresses plus the zero-address (eth).
5. The same relayer later used the same delegate to move 780M USDC from Binance Hot Wallet 34 into the same pool
• The relayer 0x7C... was funded by three Tornado Cash 0.1 ETH withdrawals over the prior two days.
• The same pool also received 28,005.6 ETH from Binance 16 24 seconds after the main sweep.
• The pool then forwarded 195,460 ETH to a fresh, unlabeled EOA
• That EOA has only one transaction and currently holds the 195,460 ETH.
What's a bit unclear is why the relayer was needed in the first place. If they had the private keys to the Binance wallets, they could have just sent the assets out in an atomic bundle without needing a relayer at all.
So it seems likely that they didn't have the private keys and instead just had the 7702 auth signatures, which must have been phished somehow.
I think we can go ahead and assume DPRK.

$STRC is back at par and nobody is talking about it.
Where are all the doomers now?
With the amount of bad news and uncertainty being thrown at Bitcoin right now, you’d expect it to be trading a lot lower.
We’re definitely in the process of establishing a major pivot low soon.
Bearish FOMC, with rates held (priced in)
Rising oil prices
Hot CPI data
Global bond yields surging
DXY rallying
Ledger wallet hack
Relentless FUD around the pivot to AI
MSTR delisting fears
Yet despite all of this, Bitcoin is quite literally holding its range.
In the grand scheme of things, considering how much negativity and macro pressure is being thrown its way, BTC is looking quite good.
You’d think with this kind of shit we’d already be trading well below 70K. But we’re not.
And to me, that’s interesting.
$BTC is becoming increasingly resilient. The market is absorbing bad news without the kind of downside reaction you’d normally expect. That is clearly a sign we are in a bull market.
Bad news in a bear market pushes prices lower, bad news in a bull market pushes prices higher.
Sometimes strength isn’t about how much an asset rallies on good news. It’s about how well it holds up when everything seems to be going against it.
And right now, BTC’s resilience is telling us something.
Very telling indeed.

Google is building Bitcoin custody infrastructure for banks.
Think about how insanely bullish this is from an economic incentive standpoint.
Google Cloud is developing technology that allows financial institutions to securely custody and transact in Bitcoin and other digital assets. The product is already in private preview, with commercial availability targeted for 2027.
So basically this means one of the largest technology companies on Earth has decided that institutional digital asset custody represents a commercial opportunity worth dedicating engineering resources, security research, and product development toward.
Google sees an opportunity to make money providing the infrastructure that banks will need to participate in the Bitcoin economy.
Better infrastructure, in turn, lowers the barriers to adoption.
Another self-reinforcing economic feedback loop where Bitcoin adoption incentivizes infrastructure investment, and infrastructure investment makes further adoption more attractive.
Google wants to make money helping banks integrate Bitcoin into their businesses. Banks want to make money serving customers who own Bitcoin.
The profit motive is aligning some of the most powerful companies in the world around building out Bitcoin's financial infrastructure.
Bitcoin has reached the point where companies can pursue their own commercial interests by making the Bitcoin economy more accessible.
This is an extraordinarily bullish development.
