Maricopa Community Colleges

Investments made in this year’s state budget will allow @mcccd to expand on the opportunities we provide to more than 140,000 students. We applaud @GovernorHobbs & the #AZLeg for recognizing the pivotal role community colleges play in preparing learners for future-ready careers.

Proud to join TSMC Arizona, @GovernorHobbs, @MayorGallego, @EMCCPresident, @RioSalado_Pres, @SandraWatsonAZ, and Valley leaders for the unveiling of expanded #semiconductor apprenticeship opportunities supported by classroom learning from @EMCC_Official and @RioSaladoOnline.

The infusion of funding into the state-of-the-art facility will enable @MCCCD to build on the success of our current #semiconductor offerings, helping strengthen Arizona's growing talent pipeline while preparing our students for high-demand, high-skill jobs.

Great morning joining @GovernorHobbs, @SandraWatsonAZ, @MCCCD Governing Board President @BitterSmith, @azcommerce, industry partners, faculty, and staff for the launch of our semiconductor-focused #Future48 Workforce Accelerator at @gatewayaz.

Honored to join @POTUS, @SecCardona, @HACUNews, @WeAreUnidosUS, and #HigherEd leaders for the signing of a new executive order committed to providing long-term support to HSIs. This initiative aligns with @MCCCD's mission to remove barriers and support Hispanic & Latino students.

This #HSIsWeek, @mcccd joins the national effort to improve access and advance outcomes for Hispanic/Latino students. With 38% of our student population identifying as Hispanic, we are committed to removing barriers to help learners succeed during and after college.

Thank you @GovernorHobbs and Deputy Secretary of @ENERGY David M. Turk for joining us at @gatewayaz to highlight clean energy initiatives and tour the college's HVAC labs. @mcccd is developing the next generation of skilled workers to support Arizona's growing infrastructure.

.@MCCCD & @MaricopaFND have a rich history of training skilled workers. Funding from the @lowesfoundation will enhance construction trades programs at @mesacc, @smcccougar, and @RioSaladoOnline, ensuring students have access to the resources and facilities needed to be job-ready.

Thank you, @FLOTUS, for joining us this morning at @mesacc’s commencement ceremony. You serve as an inspiration to community college students, educators, and leaders nationwide. I know, @MCCCD and the Class of 2024 will long remember this special day! 🎓 Fly high, Thunderbirds!

It’s exciting to see years of work come to life as @smcccougar honored its first bachelor’s degree recipients during last night’s historic commencement celebration. These four outstanding graduates will undoubtedly make impactful contributions to the behavioral sciences field.

Proud to welcome @SecYellen at @mesacc this morning for a tour of our cutting-edge Automated Industrial Technology lab. As a leader in regional workforce development, @MCCCD collaborates with government and industry to prepare students for roles in today's expanding job market.

Historic milestone for @MCCCD, as we celebrated a #RioFirst, honoring @RioSaladoOnline’s inaugural bachelor’s degree recipients at last night's commencement ceremony. I’m immensely proud of what @MCCCD have been able to accomplish in only a few years. Congratulations, graduates!

Today, I joined 15 of @mcccd's finest for the annual Chancellor's Civic Leadership Medallion ceremony. The distinguished award recognizes students for their civic accomplishments and leadership abilities. Congratulations to this year's awe-inspiring honorees!

Meet Evan, a @gatewayaz machining and welding student. Thanks to the skills learned at GWCC, Evan hopes to land a career in the aerospace industry. It’s students like Evan who remind us just how vital community colleges are in providing affordable, high-quality, education.

Proud to welcome @DepSecGraves to @PhoenixCollege for a roundtable discussion and tour of PC’s 3D printing lab. Thanks to grant funding from @CommerceGov’s @NTIAgov, PC is expanding access for underrepresented students to pursue pathways in high-demand emerging technologies.

Yesterday, I had the privilege of joining @POTUS & @intel for the unveiling of funding to support the ever-expanding #semiconductor industry. @MCCCD continues to play a key role in training a pipeline of highly skilled technicians through our Semiconductor Technician Quick Start.
