I am really sad to see our government spend his time
World is burning
World is changing
World opens new innovations
β¦they just add another taxβ¦
So, the French socialists, and Parliament members just voted a tax, that they donβt understand, which would cost VideoLAN more than 1 million euro per year.
They are probably the most clueless politician on Earth? And they claim they want technological sovereigntyβ¦

Hopefully you can chat with AI to find what you want
Plz google just copy Apple and stop that madness
I'm testing a lot tiktok to promote my apps
Here's a few things I learned
- few posts gets more than 1k views
- 100 views is most of the time just bad content
- same video with 2 different hooks -> 1 get 100 views, other 800
- views are useless if you don't get downloads
- making viral content is not really hard.
- making viral content that sell your app IS hard
- many apps pays for views. Don't be fooled. It's not always organic views -> check bookmarks and comments
- videos > slideshows
- you can also promote with comments (don't spam)
Is that the end of VC funding for software?
If big SaaS can be replicated, then risk has never been that high.
I think that except for AI model training, VC will now prefer investing in other areas.
What you think?
translate your app screenshots
Ipad + Iphone + Play store
-> add figma plugin + mcp
-> do english version
-> let claude translate and create all different version
-> ask claude to export within fastlane
enjoy

If you want profitable ads
Tiktok or meta ads have learning phase
$60 spent is... nothing
- meta : wait 3 days with at least 5 events / day
- tiktok : wait 10 days <- longer learning phase
And always let your audience broad
Wanna target men?
Fine do creatives for men (ex: create an UGC ad with a guy)
Wants to target both?
Create different adsets and let algorithm do it's job
Creative > audience
half my tiktok ad budget was going to people who almost never start a trial
i checked the age and gender breakdown today:
β women: $60 spent, 1 trial
β men: $56 spent, 5 trials
women even clicked a bit more. they just didn't start the trial
small sample, but 5 to 1 is hard to ignore
then i checked my instagram followers: 91% men, 93% aged 18-44
so both campaigns are now men 18-44 only
everyone says go broad and let the algorithm figure it out. maybe with a big budget. at $45/day it was learning with my money
meta trap: when you change age or gender it ticks "use as a suggestion" by default, so it can still show ads outside your limits. untick it
since saturday in the uk:
β 107 new users, ~$1 each
β 19 trials, ~$6 each
β the last 10 cost ~$4 each
the real test is this week: do those trials turn into paying users
Best apps sells themselves
- no tutorial needed or very short
- 3s video is enough to understand them
- app icon tell you what it does
- name is easy to remember
Anyone A/B tested app store banners?
Does it improve or decrease conversion for you?
I'm not sure it improves conversions because user have to scroll now to see your main screenshots

Did you code so you wouldnβt have to talk to people?
In 2026, you have to talk to 10 agents simultaneously that you eventually ended up naming Carla, Angelo, John...
