Completely surreal weekend
Sunday was my 5th time being 1 game away from Worlds

So much practice, so much heartbreak, so much fun.
YCS Houston was a big step in the right direction for the long-term health of YGO, however I think we need one more big list to help regain/retain some of the player base
We don't need it tomorrow, but we need it soon

For once the doom & gloom in Yu-Gi-Oh is justified.
Yu-Gi-Oh has always been able to hang around through bad times because our player base is resilient.
I'm starting to see that go away for the first time in 20 years.

I might actually change my flight to YCS Houston just so I can play Genesys instead. Advanced feels just so over. The magic of the game feels like it's gone. My locals don't even fire anymore.
It's not too late for another F/L list. They can still save the game I beg if they see this please Im just screaming into the void save the game please.
Born to play Riftbound - Forced to play yugioh. Riftbound events sell out instantly and I havent been able to get tickets for the last several events.
I played yugioh for 16 years and I love the game with my heart and soul but it feels like a bad breakup and there is no coming back to what it was.

My exp playing in the Yugioh World Championships last weekend: pt1
All 4 OCG/AE players I dueled played at a good speed and knew when to concede
I won several games going 2nd, even playing into multiple halfboards
None of my matches got close to time

Konami/Ariake did an awesome job hosting Worlds, the theater with several thousand people felt meaningful, the venue and surrounding area had a ton of Yugioh stuff going on all week, the goodie bag was loaded and the trophy is sick

In testing we highly considered Invoked and Branded but ultimately picked KT with time/translations being a factor (this shouldn't have to be how it is)
At Worlds an extra 5-10 min is necessary and would go a long way, until then you need to deck build with time in mind

For someone in Washington, we have 1 regional that caps at 32 invites within driving distance
In order to qualify under this system I would likely have to fly to all/most NA YCS's as well as 7-8 regionals to be able to keep up with people who are in better locations
