Happy Easter! ✝️
Hey @Publix,
Maybe don’t put clearance signs on things if they’re not on clearance. Just a suggestion. Groceries are already expensive enough.
This is false. FDCPA won’t make you rich. It’s $1K max per case. But the TCPA? That’s where I made $10K+ from illegal robocalls + spam texts. $500–$1,500 per call is real when they violate consent rules. Don’t chase myths, use the right law.
i pray debt collectors call me
seriously
every call is worth $1,000
they don't know i know the law:
- call before 8am? $1K violation
- call after 9pm? $1K violation
- call after i said stop? $1K violation
- call my employer? $1K violation
- threaten arrest? $5K violation
i don't block them
i record them
then i send a demand letter
"you violated FDCPA section 805(a)(1)
pay me $3K or we go to federal court"
they settle for $1,500 to make me go away
last year i made $18K from debt collectors
who were trying to collect $6K
i turned my debt into income
become the hunter, not the hunted
here's the exact demand letter template:

FDCPA Violations - Demand for Payment
Dear [Agency],
This letter serves as formal notice of your violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), 15 USC 1692.
Documented Violations:
1. [Date] at [Time]: Called before 8:00 AM
Violation: 15 USC 1692c(a)(1)
Statutory Damages: $1,000
2. [Date] at [Time]: Called after cease request
Violation: 15 USC 1692c(c)
Statutory Damages: $1,000
3. [Date]: Threatened legal action without intent
Violation: 15 USC 1692e(5)
Statutory Damages: $1,000
Total Statutory Damages: $3,000
Plus actual damages, attorney fees, and court costs
I have recorded all calls and maintained detailed logs.
Settlement Offer:
To avoid litigation, I will accept $1,500 as payment in full for these violations and deletion of the alleged debt from all credit reports.
You have 15 days to respond before I file suit in federal court.
I am also filing complaints with:
- CFPB
- State Attorney General
- FTC
- BBB
Sincerely,
[Your name]
The secret sauce:
- Always mention attorney fees (they panic)
- Reference specific USC codes (shows you're serious)
- Give them an out for less than maximum (they'll take it)
They buy debt for 2 cents on the dollar
Paying you $1,500 to go away is cheaper than court
My record: $4,500 from one agency
They called my mom (big mistake)
You are not a victim
You are an opportunity
Let them violate
Then get paid

Many of this wrong but for starters: Under the FDCPA, a consumer can get up to $1,000 total in statutory damages per lawsuit, not per violation starks.law/articles/how-m…
FDCPA Statutory Damages Cap
Under 15 U.S.C. § 1692k(a)(2)(A):
“in the case of any action by an individual, such additional damages as the court may allow, but not exceeding $1,000.”
