We are deeply saddened by the death of Bishop John Ricard, SSJ, who was a pastor in @WashArchdiocese & then auxiliary bishop of @archbalt. May he rest peacefully with the Lord.
The Archdiocese of Baltimore mourns the passing of Bishop John H. Ricard, S.S.J., former auxiliary bishop of Baltimore. Archbishop Lori said Bishop Ricard served "with grace, humility and a joyful spirit," adding that he was "deeply committed to the dignity of every human life and was unafraid to speak out against racism and injustice wherever he saw them." May he rest in peace.

What a joyful day for West Baltimore and our Archdiocese!
We were blessed to celebrate the grand opening of the Carolyn E. Fugett Intergenerational Center, a first-of-its-kind opportunity hub dedicated to serving children, families, and older adults through education, support, and community connection.
Archbishop William E. Lori offered a blessing for the new facility, and we were grateful to be joined by friends from across the Archdiocese — including the principal of Mother Mary Lange Catholic School and students from Mount Saint Joseph High School.
May this new center be a place of hope, opportunity, and transformation for generations to come. 💙
