The LTE upgrade add-ons are now available on the Mecha Hub!
Everything we want you to know before you make the purchase:

The kit enables support for LTE and GNSS with components that integrate cellular antennas optimized and tuned for the Comet.
We couldn't wait until the end of the month, so our Mid-September update is live!
We have some huge hardware milestones to share, including a big win for the keyboard layout.

Moving to fabrication: With the new 5D button designed and tested, the Keyboard and Gamepad pre-production PCBs have officially been submitted for fabrication. Mechanical samples for the Comet arrive Oct 7th, keeping us on track for mid-October sign-offs!
Add-ons & Extensions: LTE kits will be available starting Sept 19 (and we future-proofed them for 5G RedCap!). The Gamepad PCB is fully functional, and based on your feedback, we also managed to squeeze an external USB-C port onto the Keyboard!
We've combined June/July with a wide series of updates as we move into August:

We've started rolling out the much awaited Mecha Hub!
To get started, access the Mecha Hub using this link: hub.mecha.so/
You can use the hub to place, and manage, your pre-order with us. Thank you again for your support in helping us build the Mecha Comet :)
Comet's aluminium frame serves two functions:
- Impacts: Acts as a roll cage, absorbing impact before it reaches the PCB/ components
- Thermals: Processor dissipates up to 2W under load; added LTE or NVMe on the M.2 slot means multiple heat sources in a dense package
We're sponsoring Flame Game Jam 2026 with a Comet! 🎮
itch.io/jam/flame-game-jam-2…
Flame is a powerful 2D game engine built on top of Flutter, enabling developers to ship games to Android, iOS, Web and Desktop from a single codebase.
For the battery on the Comet, we use a push connector instead of soldered/glued battery.
Specs:
- 4100mAh capacity
- 4A discharge current (high performance)
- Standard 3-pin connector
- Push connector for easy replacement/alternatives
- No special tools required
The M.2 expansion slot on the Comet enables LTE, LoRa, WiFi, NVMe expansion for mobile field diagnostic tools, off-grid communication devices or even industrial monitoring!
