Bleeps are very reliable for cardiac arrests but for everything else we need to move onto messaging systems like @MedicBleep. We have introduced this to a number of hospitals and got rid of bleeps. This of course depends upon good connectivity.

Red tape. For two weeks we have struggled to put up poster quoting Claire Marx in OUR handover rooms. Yesterday, I put up an unauthorised poster within 4 hours of finding a need. The Paeds now no longer know phone numbers as they have @MedicBleep instead of pagers. @DrNickTwit
